Just really gutted for the club, this was a massive game for us to show we're back, we are relevant again and we produce that.

We are so slow, the game plan seems to be bomb it long down the flanks to our big guys. Who just got swamped. Then when we got an inside 50 it was just a bomb, i can't recall anyone lowering their eyes and getting someone on the lead.

At some stage questions need to be asked about Fagan and the coaching staff, I was at the game last week and it just seemed a few of the guys needed a week off especially with the short turn around to this week's game yet no changes were made.

I just hate to think that we have lost all confidence and momentum that we generated in the first few weeks.

So Lions supporters, who do you find more attractive; Tom Cruise or Mel Gibson?

I have wasted years getting emotionally wound up over games like tonight’s and been miserable. I want to enjoy this long weekend with my family so I’m choosing to go meh, they lost. Poor bastards probably feel worse than me.

I love the game, we’ve already been better than last year so I choose to believe there is still good stuff to come this year. Whooo go lions.

First game in 4 years was a bit disappointing but I still enjoyed going though.
I’m a bit worried we won’t get such a big crowd again this season if we continue to play that way though.

The boys looked slow compared to the Pies players at times and I was getting frustrated in the second quarter when we wouldn’t move the ball quickly from the back line (I was behind that set of goals too so I saw it all)

Feel like we are lacking marking power still in the forward 50.
Rayner and McStay dropped some marks too which would have been bloody handy if they got them!!

I think a rejig of some sorts is required next week vs the Suns. Can’t go in with that team again.

Some guys have been poor for 3 weeks now.

It's not the Australian cricket team .

Maybe a bit of competitive tension with changes is what's required to get some blokes to really put in.

The cricket team is shit as well though

Second week in a row I've been bored watching my beloved lions, lack of effort is killing us :(

Biggest crowd at GABBA in 10 years, we will now have to wait another 10 as people wont bother coming for the rest of the season.

I totally agree. The crap we have shown in the last two games is disappointing to say the least. Every time I think we take the next step and actually have some hope of making finals we embarrass ourselves with these kind of displays. We are playing like a bottom 4 team at the moment!

The last two weeks differ from the first three, where when we have the chance to come back from being down, that *moment* of slotting it through or making a clean pickup has just not occured. In the first quarter we had that luck (though really if we're down so much we've only got ourselves to blame). Best get over it and enjoy the weekend :) Got a lot of footy days coming up so that will be good

I don't mind making suggestions.

I really liked the way Eagles took the game on and got us going a couple of times last year . Andrews is out . Give him another shot .

Walker can go forward . McStay is a liability at present and his lackadaisical effort when he hit the post rather than taking his time was typical. We need some run out of defence. Cameron , Cutler ???? , Zorko ??

Lots of options ,the guys need a mental freshen up.

Think we got showed up in so many ways this week.

Problem is there's not much cattle in the seconds that can fix our problems.

I think our midfield really was thrown together quite late this season and it's showing. Long term plans probably involved Beams and wallis who both backflipped in their own way late.

Lyons and Matho just don't cut it when the other team is on.

Most 2016 game we've played in a while sans the hilarious errors, Josh schache and brion the lion.

That's it. There are no guns waiting the 2nds who will magically fix the last 2 weeks. It's in our heads.

They slaughtered us every where. Why we play 20m behind I dont know
Alex Witherden on The Roar Deal this week was saying we play a zone defense, unless there is good pressure up the field they have no chance.

Collingwood were just so much better structured when there was a turnover, offensively or defensively, that's to be expected, they were within a goal of winning a grand final last year and they are one of the favorites this year.

I think we do need a solid plan B as well because at the moment teams have figured out our ball movement and we're reverting back to just bombing it long.

yikes, we got completely outplayed. Grundy and Treloar just dominated. As expected their small forwards killed us and Mihocek was quality. I can handle our guys having an off night and being overpowered but surely Fagan cops a bit of blame here...

Where is our defensive structure? 2nd week in a row they just rebound it like it's a training drill.
Where's our plan B? Our skills aren't good enough if it's sideways and backwards kicking ...
Kick-ins need some serious work.
Our start of quarters especially the first quarter are a joke.

teams have figured out how to counter us and the coaches should have been ringing the alarm bells after that Port game. It's clear that very minimal has changed since then n terms of our gameplan and defensive structure. Our tackling and defensive pressure drops away and no surprise we suffer back to back thrashings where the games are practically over after QT.

Lots of work ahead for the boys. I'm backing them to turn it around against GC

Positives for me was my boy got an easter basket from rayner and the pies supporters around us (dare I say it) very reasonable.

What rubbish.

For the first time in over 10 years, we've had more depth than ever before that can offer more than a lot of guys that have been rewarded with senior selection for weeks.

Cheers for responding to a post Dylan. Who specifically would you replace, why, and who would you bring in?
