The big selection headache will be who do we drop to bring back Cotchin. Can't be Ross surely, probably Baker or Higgo. Either one will be very unlucky.
Cotch has been ruled out of this week's game. Most likely to be back against the Bulldogs.

Might be a couple changes to the side, if blokes aren’t close to 100%. We’re lucky we have Riewoldt to come in, then Menadue, Graham and Butler to name a few waiting in the wings. This is an extremely important game if we win this and go 4-2 with the skipper to come back in the following week then it really sets up our year.

Want to toast the big fella Tom lynch wasn’t his night tonight being honest he got outplayed by a very good footballer in rampe with help from Allir but he never dropped his head and competed hard all night had 4 tackles the same as stack/Prestia/broad and baker and the only players with more in our side was caddy 5/Macca 6 and castagna with 8

Has really bought into the Richmond way and set up a few goals with crashing packs works hard and is averaging 3 goals a game lucky to have him

Agree. Definitely a big plus so far

Ok now ive heard one poster say that he said hes good to go and now you're saying he ruled himself out
Mind games.

Agree SATiger. Until we know how everyone pulled up, we cant be saying this player or that player should be rested. I was worried about the very last contest when Broad went back into the pack straight into an incoming Buddy. Could have been bad. Players have a 10 day break coming. Melb are in the same boat. If they have minor corkies, they will play through it. A 90% Rioli is better than Butler. Houli a bit different being a hammy though.
So someone get down to training and find out whose doing laps.

Looks like peeps wanna drop players for the sake of change.

Higgins, Balta, Bolton, Baker...
Did anyone even watch last night's game.
Balta is about to explode he is just realising he belongs and is already more calmer around the ball. The best thing about his game last night was his best qtr was qtr4. His tank is getting better.
Higgins did well.
Bolton is must keep his delivery to our forwards last night was sublime.
Baker too looked damaging.

Unchanged for me unless injuries occur or soreness occur.
Cantstandya did well last night but his disposal was still shocking and not at VFL standard let alone AFL standard. Watching live however you see the other shit he brings which is obviously what Dimma loves.

Let's see what happens.

I also hate junkie bing head kids harassing ppl on the train. Absolute scumbags on the lilydale line tonight
I was on the Upper Ferntree Gully train, didn’t have any issues, sorry you got that on the Lilydale line. Those people always ruin a good night. :(

I was on the Belgrave line, 90% of the passengers were Richmond supporters so very peaceful but crowded. i think the solution might be to have team coloured trains ie only Richmond supporters re allowed to board their trains, other team supporters board their trains. Would be much more peaceful. You could do it by carriage as well, you’d have the Richmond theme song playing throughout the journey. Oh well that’s my great idea for the week, think I’ll go back to bed, lost my voice screaming at the umpires last night.

Went to the game. It was one of those 'team effort' games where a lot of guys could have got the votes.

It was a scrappy game and just missing a bit of polish. The Swans managed to play Dusty into form though; thanks for that.

After 5 minutes of play you could tell we were never going to lose that game. Some shitful umpiring stopped us from winning by 8 to be honest.

I'm not exactly happy about being 3-2, but this is probably where we want to be right now, back in the pack a bit and letting all the other teams take the spotlight.

Balta with 59% game time and Bolton with 60odd. Augurs well as they build that up over the next month or so.

The most pleasing thing about last night and last week is that players who have been down on form a little this year have come out and played some ripping footy.

Prestia the last 2 weeks is back to his ball winning best. Flossy was incredible last night, flawless performance. Astbury also looks like he started getting a bit of form last night as well. Higgins played his first game in midfield and got plenty of the ball and linked up well. Ellis, dare I say it, has been somewhat damaging the last 2 weeks - good to see his form has picked right up and of course Dusty's back.
The side is starting to find some spark and cohesiveness although we were still very wasteful going forward - 57 clangers in unreal.

Looks like Melb are still playing the same as last year, they’re trying to win from clearances but most teams are winning by turnovers.
They’ve won that stuff most games and I50.
They’re mids have kicked more goals than they’re forwards or there abouts and if they don’t score theyre to high to set up defensively.
If Goodwin doesn’t try something different and we get over the top of em, he’s gonna look like a crap coach.
I think Balta, where he can play and the way he can get Nank forward is gonna pull em out’ve whack.
If they lose that’s their year done in rnd 6.
They’re gonna come out red hot and go all game with their season on the line and if we can stop em from having a good start and match the intensity I reckon we can kick more goals than they can.
If we can play our best without that sort’ve emotion behind it, it’s gonna send a message to the comp that we are coming for the flag.

I did like that B Ellis took the shot on goal after giving it off last week. Tick. I liked that Castgna who had been giving off last night went back and slotted one. Tick.

Each time you you could see the decision making going on in their heads and the moment they both decided to stand up and have a go despite the risk of them stuffing up.

Real confidence building. The guys all looked really happy for them.

Didn't like seeing number 26 for swans closed fisted slotting in 3 punches to Higgins guts. No reports for the game I see.

Stack so clean and strong. Bolton showing some amazing skills. And Sheds off half back looking like a masterstroke. Prestia Grimes Mcintosh Vlaustin too> Such a mix of youth and older wiser heads last night. Gee we ran out of legs though, it got nervy for a bit in the last quarter
