Anyone wanna do us a solid and put together a gif of the centre clearance in the third quarter, about 15min on the clock? The one where Fisher made a few Doggies players look like they were stuck in quicksand.
My boy was emulating Fisher around the lounge room towards the end of the game...showing us his Fisher shimmy - was gold!!

Nope but I got a hard on though..... when the boundary line passages failed … they cut through the centre. They took the game on …. on their OWN terms.

SPS was only huge because of crippa ….. he fed him like a child .... but the silk ...oh the silk ….

Then when Cowboy needed a rest ….. Nemo to clean up the hard fought stoppages ….

IMMENSE!
Early on I'd agree re SPS. Cripps getting him into the game seemed to build his confidence so that as the match progressed he was doing a fair bit of his own grunt work I thought.

Completely forgot about him.

FWIW - About 12 months ago Dogs had more “talls” (approx 12 x 194cm plus IIRC) than any other club. Why have so many when the success of your game plan revolves speedy, mobile mediums/small players?

Since then they’ve moved on
Roughead (trade pick 75)
Adams (trade pick 32)
K Collins (delist)
Redpath (delist)
Tom Campbell (delist)

Played yesterday
Naughton
English
Young

and this week left out
Trengove,
Schache,
Boyd.
Sweet
Roberts

It’s as if there was no long term strategic plan for their list profile.

To delist/trade 5 talls in one year means there’s been serious misjudgements along the way.

I don't agree with this mate.
It was clear at the start something had happened in Samos head during the week. He was no longer ready to sit back and wait. He put his head down and charged at every pack. He wasnt the only one either.
Last weeks loss was a telling moment. Decisions were made from it.
The great part of that decision and seeing his teamates with determined ferociousness for the ball is that Cripps really became the general once he saw he had the troops.

Well done to all involved in that passage...all the basics done right.
But hats off to Samo who nailed the two most important plays. First the clearance handball out to a free player over the top of the pack to start the passage. Then keeps making his way down the ground to receive the handball from Gibbons, then sums up the field in a split second and nails a left foot kick with precision to JSOS.

Williamson 190cm
Plowman 193
Doesn’t really matter one is agile and can run and one can’t

Different roles, gs. The defenders in line for replacement by a linebreaker are Newman and (soon enough) Simpson. Nobody on the list does what Plowman does, he's still one of the first picked every week.

That 100 point thing.. both Jase and Dwayne went on about it as if something was riding on it, as if anyone hit the media gave a shit, as if we didn’t crack the 100 it would be deemed as it we lost... even though we were up by 6 goals.

It was as embarrassing as Underwood’s Harry slip-up, but what ya gonna do?

Yes but how about them apples. They set it up and we delivered. Oh the times they are a changing

**** me. 28 possessions. 75 percent disposal efficiency. Top three km travelled on ground. Kicked a goal.

And yet he still gets bagged. Seriously all Murph baggers:

STFU

You’re entitled to your view.

I suggest you watch the replay and see how many times Murphy didn’t deliver the ball to a teammate as well as a 250 game player should.

I understand why he flinches given how many times he’s been smashed - but those horrible floating kicks drive me mad and lead to his teammates getting crunched.

Perfectly said. Williamson and Plowman are built extremely differently, for different roles.
Plowman is strong and thick as ****, Williamson is currently quite slight and will struggle body on body.

Daisy has been one of our best and most consistent player for a few years now.
I have been a huge fan of Daisy’s passion and commitment to our cause. Was great AGAIN today. Love what he brings to this young group; passion & toughness.

To think one particular poster continually banged on all last year about him being too old and past his best (whilst banging on about how good Lebois was!!).

Now there are posters potting a young player (in his 2nd year) trying his guts out who has the kicking yips.

Dow does a lot right. His confidence/kicking/decision making will improve with more exposure at the top level.

Not sure why we have to pot our players, particularly those that give it a red hot crack.

Hamling left the year before that too.
