A question I have from Sunday is why did we let Billy Gowers go? And what did we get for him? Bugger all Im tipping.
I like the cut of his jib.

We delisted him, wasn't committed first time around, as per his own admission

Didn't get a senior game, we drafted him in the rookie draft he played 2yrs of vfl for us then we delisted him and he played one season of vfl with Footscray and they picked him up, we didn't deserve anything for letting him go... we delisted him. Just needed time in the VFL to hone his craft, he wouldn't be playing seniors if Stringer stayed, I was surprised to see he was the Dogs leading goal kicker last season, says a lot really.

Billy Gowers has been quoted as saying he would have delisted himself as well the way he was playing and presenting for the NBs.

The highlighted bit is the thing that keeps making me laugh about these duds in the media. If we're impatient and wanting results at the club, then that's understandable. It's the ones who are saying that we are getting angry at the club for the lack of success...

I want to know who these "fans" are that they keep referencing? I suspect that these idiots trawl the facebook groups and listen to some of us getting frustrated on twitter and automatically rate those cries as the whole!

To be fair, there are quite a number on here

imagine if every single aspect of your work was not only completed in front of tens of thousands of people but rated for its efficiency - I just went to the dunny at my work and the efficiency rating has to be in the bottom 1% of all staff.........too scared to sharpen a pencil!
Hope you washed your hands.

with respect - for a long time there has been very little positive to report - it isn't her job to cheer-lead carlton, look for any little nugget of optimism, fight for our right to be treated as though we have been relevant - it's ours - we've been losers for a long time and unfortunately for some that has transmogrified into a victim's outlook - you see things from a victim's perspective you will forever be crying "poor me, another barb from caro" - curiously it will all be forgiven and forgotten once we start to win - I thought the commentary from marvel yesterday was fabulous - healy and dunstall and even that peanut russell wrapt us up bigtime - it felt great to hear as I was so proud of our efforts - this pointless banging on about caro and her non-existent agenda is as silly as the one toward kb - if we can't cop a bit of justified stick about being crap well **** me...........

Anyone have stats on how many times our players attended a centre bounce? I find them quite interesting.

I noticed we typically had a mix of Cripps/Fisher/SPS/Dow in the middle. Very young but they dominated.
Though i did see Walsh and JSOS in there at least once.

I don't think Murphy or Gibbons ever started in the middle, mostly on the wing or top of the 50m arc.

Walsh goes in a bit. Murph never any more I think. Don’t recall Gibbo in there.

Good endeavour and mark but can't kick to save himself...he's a shocking kick for goal.

Dogs posters are over him because he keeps missing easy shots and his field kicking is average.

Zac Fisher. You little ******* champion.

Is there a reference point to this, or did you just get a little excited? :)

Been a Fisher fan before he played his first game for us and some of his dodging and weaving on Sunday was as good as you'll see from any player and then there's the vision/awareness and kicking prowess.

Love to see players play on instinct and it was the first time this year I'd seen that from Fisher, along with a couple of others.
Isn't always going to pay off but so what, when the opponent has no idea what may come about. That in itself can be a cause for stress to the opposition

Congratulations on your great win!
Ive a soft spot for Carlton since Robert Klomp and Mark Naley graced Princess Park (yes Im that old) and have copped a lot of shit over the last few years despite being a One-eyed Crows supporter....or maybe in spite:think: of it. LOL
But seriously, it's been too long between wins. May you have heaps more in the coming weeks (who cares about next year's trade period) kay sera sera. Goodluck.

Just reflecting on the team. How good this guy is at his best. How important that laser left leg is post hot steps.
