Most of the players we have been linked to have jumped the shark this year. I'm thinking Nakia is about the only good fit for our list and shouldn't cost much more than a fourth rounder unless he somehow comes back and plays well in the finals.

I'm thinking trade Ryder for very little. Broady and Hoff retire. Trengove, aj and McKenzie are delisted. Hewett from the rookie list.

Ladhams and lienart get upgraded.

Karlos for Nikita and something isn't a bad deal subject to medical opinion as to whether Nikita is just going though something similar to Hammer early.

I want to keep karl. He's best 22 in an area we have poor depth. If he goes we probably get less than he is worth. Not sure what the plan is for these fourth round picks? If karl really wants to go then you get what you can get. If that's nakia and fourth I suppose it's two assets if there is some plan for the fourths. The over ages and mature ages have already been culled. Vic metro has poor depth. I don't think late picks will have much value apart from points.

I’ll be furious if a team bails Adelaide out of busting the Fogarty pick by trading a decent draft pick. If he’s the player rumoured to go to hawks they won’t trade their 1st this year, they’ll get slaughtered in the media if they do.

I’ll continue to push for outside speed and class and more KPPs. Maybe a small pressure forward as well.

Typically most sides move on around 6 players a year, with lower sides a few more. I wonder if we could get say an O’Brien from Carlton, Walker from North, Sturt from Freo.

Also Ryder I think you would upgrade a fourth rounder into a third rounder and there would be some clubs that would take him for sure. If Frampton wants to leave then oh well, another fourth rounder would be appropriate, perhaps a third. Amon should net a third or maybe second.

I still think we target Sydney, who with the weight of the final years of the Buddy contract (and significant contracts for Heeney, Mills, Parker, Kennedy, Lloyd) plus Zak Jones and Papley yet to sign this year, could be susceptible to a well placed raid on their South Australian talent.

Jordan Dawson had another huge game on the weekend and Will Hayward is putting together consistent link up half forward performances.. i would easily throw a 4 year $500k contract at either.

Hayward would be a great fit, fills a need for us. I'm not sure Dawson does. Decent player but think he's a bit vanilla.

Hayward is contracted. We won't be able to get him. Dawson is out of contract. I always like him when I see him play. He seems like a decent target. No idea if he is interested. It could be a useful trade for getting mead with late picks.

We should doing everything we can to bring home Rankine IMO. Absolutely should be our top trade priority.

Our next generation of team is already starting to look good but the thought of adding Rankine to that mix is tantalising.

Id also love to go after Hately as well just quietly. Think he’s massively underrated.

I’ve seen a bit of Hately and he’s exactly the type of player we need. He’s as tough as SPP but skills are much better.

Gun ruck sure, but a gun ruck older than our young core, that will make us lose ladhams and Hayes for peanuts and leave us 3/4 years to draft develop or trade in a Grundy replacement otherwise our young core will be missing a vital piece.

We have the core of a young spine with clurey burton Howard Hayes ladhams Marshall and Frampton

That is a absolute gift to be able to draft around that core and the easiest task a draft team could ever ask for.
