God dammit I envy the Eagles. They are everything we should be - a non-Victorian club that continuously builds towards premierships.

7 grannies and 4 premierships over 32 years. Us - 3 grand finals and 2 premierships over 28 years. They have played in 4 grand finals and won 2 premierships since our last flag.

Given the travel they have to deal with they are probably the best club in the comp.

WTF happened to South Australian footy? We used to punch well above our population weight with greats like Blight, Platten, Ricciuto.

The theoretical West Australian state of origin side would be extremely strong, comparable to Victoria's almost. A South Australian SoO side would be ****house. I know our population is less than WA's but it's not half or a quarter.

I remember we had a thread on South Australian grassroots football in 2017. Is it still a shambles?

That game shows you if you give the game a red hot crack for 4 quarters you're capable of beating anyone.

Collingwood had a predictablevforward structure, got scored against with ease and yet in the space of 40 minutes they turn it around and win. West Coast have had some disappointing home losses this year.
