Yeh, and Dravid was perfectly serviceable and did a good job.

Manou is a poor keeper. He continually fluffs regulation takes, drops the undroppable and lets through far too many byes. Deitz offers arguably very little different, but is a much better batsman.

Don't know what you have been watching. He never fluffs regulation takes, in fact his work to the quicks is outstanding. He could probably cop some criticism for his work to the spinners but, whilst not up to Healy-quality, is still the best in SA in this facet.

Too many byes? Are you talking about the occassional Tait leg side missile just inside the return crease that the umpire inexplicably doesn't call a wide?

His batting is well behind Deitz. And with our top order struggling we need a seventh batsman more than we need a keeper. Which is why Deitz should come in to the team.

Bring back David Fitzgerald and Ben Johnson, both champions. Were my favourite players, but we sacked both to bring in Elliott.

Actually he was equal 6th highest scorer with Bailey and quite frankly, Bailey is more important at the moment.

Disagree, Manou usually bats around 7-8, haven't seen him up the top of the order in a while. He comes in late in the overs 40ish so bit hard to consolidate a good innings good striker of the ball hits it a long way. Who else would the redbacks go to Shane Deitz? He hasn't played for ages beside the odd pura cup match.

EVEN Cricket Australia is on the Drop Manou Bandwagon!!! Over 73.5: Manou charges at MacGill has a swing and a miss and is stumped - pretty ordinary batting there - SA now 6/242, just 108 on. Given the disappointing mode of dismissal, I'd suggest his spot will be up for serious review

Manou's obviously got embarrassing photos of the selectors from an end of season trip. He's not up to 1st class cricket, either in ability of mental capacity. He's an embarrassment.

6 (23) - with the match situation on a knife-edge, Manou is dropped on 5 and then plays an outrageous charge at MacGill and gets stumped.

A shining average of 4, with a series of pathetic dismissals.

Phillips, if you select Manou for the next match you are a disgrace.
