Plenty of that where you live.Anyone thinking Roo's is the way forward is ******* delusional.
That's my line in the sand moment.
Wish we never got Parkin the 2nd time around, should have moved forward,
I agree with this. There was a reason Ratts was let go in the first place and wasn't because Malthouse became available.
Ratts failed to do what Teague has been doing in his 5 games at the helm, Teague reads the game and makes positional changes to outwork the opposition coach. Ratts IIRC, was very one dimensional with no plan B throughout a game.
Best of luck to Ratts, but would prefer if he wasn't our head coach again.
Could only hope he's learned a few things as an assistant since departing the Blues gig.
“apart” or part?I was in a meeting recently and Judd was at the same cafe. Bastard distracted me the whole time, that temptation to go an hug the GOAT. I think he is one of the few authentic characters in footy and I am really glad he’s apart of our club.
How do you know he’s no good at doing anything other than football? Think you are being a bit harsh here mateFor a bloke that during his playing days, and as a captain of a club, was very vocal in saying he didn't enjoy being in the limelight, or the role footballers had to play in the media....
He seems verrrry happy to lap it up now that he's figured out he's actually no good at doing anything other than football
Why didn't he display this aptitude to lead and represent when he was actually the captain of our club, and we needed him most??
Hey babyStops dragging my heart around
I'm tipping there'd be the odd angry shot, not all aimed at the coach...........Bloody hell imagine if we lost this week, this joint will be upto 800 pages by Sunday night arguing over who should coach
Ratts was let go because we had an old outdated board, football department who were still stuck in the glory days of Carlton and just thought success was a right.
seriously, what the **** are you talking about now?For a bloke that during his playing days, and as a captain of a club, was very vocal in saying he didn't enjoy being in the limelight, or the role footballers had to play in the media....

3x premiership coach Parkin?
Ehhhh, no.I don't envy the people that have to make the decision on the coach.
You'd almost hope Teague lost this weekend to make your job easier.
And became 4 should be 5. Also a great example of how the majority of coaches get success early on. And then it slowly begins to fade.3x premiership coach Parkin?
context3x premiership coach Parkin?
I'd prefer Ratts remains an ex Carlton coach and continues his career elsewhere (with good wishes).
The whole coach advisor/overseeing role seems strange to me. The head coach oversees his assistants, and the head coach should seek advice from people he trusts, has a relationship with and wants to seek advice from. The club can offer opportunities to meet with certain people but creating some sort of advisory role is just strange. If Voss or anyone else is the right man for the job, we don't need Roos. Needs some respect for sure, but is over rated by so many, especially himself.
"NO TRAINING WHEELS"
It was a jokeHe was sacked and re hired years later, winning another premiership, why couldn't Ratts do this?
your comment, been there, done that, would rather move forward.
Its a line i detest and just don't understand.
Im not advocating hiring anyone purely because they previously coached us, but dismissing someone because they have coached us before is crazy and in no way not moving forward.
Interview them all, hire the best one, regardless of the position they currently hold or the history they have.
