Nothing to do with Cookie Monster's post ...

I didn't like Judd's Training Wheels meme and I don't like the idea of Roos at Carlton - simple as that.
We have no one in the media that represents our club that is as articulate and respected like Judd.
ROOS is overated. Name me one media personality that backs our club like Juddy and don't give me McClure

This is exactly the crap the poster you replied to was talking about. Different roles different focus. It can't be that hard to figure out.

I also hope that by the amount of replies you've got to this post of people defending judd and people liking those posts you realise you're dead wrong.

Cookie Monster is just a sh!t stirrer. That's all I've ever seen him do on BF. We just need to recognize that and not get so fired up. I think he's after a reaction.

All the amount of likes tell me is how many brainwashed types there are on this site.

He's in over his head, and he's liable to screw up the most important appointment this club ever makes.

The reaction to the comments made by Judd is a classic example of making a mountain out of a mole hill, unbelievable.

Optics matter.

So for someone in Judd's position to come out and say what he did how he did about the interim coach isn't great optics.

If it was nothing the club wouldn't have come out with another person in power to counter Judd's statement.

Hopefully some other cool heads on the panel prevail

I have to admit I’m very nervie about this appointment and the people making the decisions

But he didnt say it about Teague. It was about what Carlton are seeking.
Yes it was a bad analogy but nothing more.
I find it interesting that folks that are suddenly anti Judd are the same folks that are always anti something.

Its also interesting that many that ran the BF sack Bolts campaign have disappeared since. And dont show up when we win.
Food for thought.

I don't know enough about what Judd does. But I always felt the wearing of two hats is going to compromise him eventually.
It has done.
I think it was a misguided comment he made and the better journos caught him out, but really it's time for all to move on from that.
One gaffe doesn't undo a career in the game and the knowledge acquired.
Agree BB but am I missing something has Juddy said something else along the way recently that has been misinterpreted again ?
As what im reading is a far cry from the perception I believed he was held in by most Carlton people .
Boy have we turned on him quickly surely he isn't still copping it over the training wheels comment ?
Biggest storm in a teacup moment I've seen in a long while .

Fairly sure Judd has said he's a unpaid board member, no? So essentially he's a glorified volunteer to the club.

The media is his real career atm, along with his other businesses. He's helping out the club in the capacity that he can and yet people are baying for his blood after 1 misstep.

I still remember when everyone was singing his praises for standing up for the club last year and earlier this year. People were relishing the fact that finally we had someone in the media to stand up for us. Boy things change quickly

Andy seems like a good bloke and a passionate bagger but he can get over the top with his white knighting some times.
Give me Judd any day as our media reprasentative.
Andy Maher is cringeworthy I find. He takes the the art of waffle to a new low.
And in his attempts to try and come across as unbiased he puts the boots into his own club all the time. Not good.

Been there done that with Ratts. Rather move forward.
Quality person who I believe would have an extensive knowledge of the modern game .
Has now put together an extensive cv you don't ignore people of his quality purely because he was a former Carlton coach who was most likely sacked prematurely .
If Ratten was prepared to come back in any capacity we should be fully prepared to at least look into it .

Had too large an input into list management in his previous gig and recommended the elevation of Shane Rogers to head recruiter, who basically mangled the list in 3 years. Good luck to Ratts with the Saints, don't want him back at Carlton.

It's why Footy Classified was a bad choice for him to begin his media career, in my irrelevant opinion. That show is designed to have people put themselves on the line, to have the other three personalities go fairly hard at you and your position, and for you to go at them when it's their turn. To his credit, he's done well, up until this point.

His retraction of what he said, though, displays a good deal more maturity than the others who have sat that desk. Caro doesn't really admit that she's wrong, Hutcho doesn't either, where Lloyd cannot hold a position longer than a single episode without saying something stupid. All he really needs to do is to consider his words carefully, how they can be misconstrued by the multitudes of people looking to print something that will draw the eye. This is his minefield now, if he chooses it, and unlike some he now has an accurate image of what it looks like when he makes a mistake. If he persists with his media commitments, he at least goes in with his eyes open now.

Perfect analysis
