I
Stats wise if you take the goals and the goal assists together Cuningham has 2.0 per game and Papley has 2.3.

You have to remember that Cuningham was playing in a team with a dysfunctional forward line (under Bolton) and was also spending time through the midfield. I'd like to see Cuningham play a few games under Teague to see if it makes any difference.

As I've said, I rate Papley highly and I want SOS to recruit him. The comparison was only to point out that Cuningham goes okay as well.
its not though it’s 2.44 to 1.62.

I’m pretty sure it is 16 touches. But there is a huge difference between .9 goals a game and 1.6.
In saying that Cuningham’s stats are good for a young HFF. Someone playing Forward Flank and getting 20 touches and a goal a game is bloody handy to have and that’s what Cuningham should be able to bring. If they can get a goal and a half they are priceless
Also, the stats are influenced by how many wins he has been involved in
A lot more chances to score, if your team is doing better :)

Yes, well said.

Martin is done. Coniglio hawks. Papley and hill work in progress. Though hill likely saints. Papley looks promising.
Coniglio is leaning towards the Hawks, he's agreed to preliminary terms, or it's 100% happening?

If by the end of trade period we ended up with papley, Martin and a big bodied 200 plus cm 100kg project ruckmen I would be more than happy. I really hope coniglio stays at gws hawks ain't winning any flags anytime soon
Don't we already have one of those in Tom De Koning?

I gather by many of your posts the Hawks aren't high on your Xmas card list!

If we somehow managed to walk away with Papley, Martin, Baker and Ellis (FA) from the trade period I’d be content.

Coniglio would be nice but I’m tempering my expectations on that front.
I don't get the love for Ellis

I don't get the love for Ellis

He’s no world beater, and he’s a pretty average bloke if I’m being honest, but ...

He’s an experienced premiership winning defensive flanker/winger who wouldn’t cost all that much to get across ($500k / 4 years). Fits our age profile and would basically be a free hit.

You have a funny perspective on what makes you "content"

Getting Papley alone should have you crying with joy. Dude must be one of the most undervalued players in the competition, singlehandedly drags Sydney over the line some games, and at worst prevents their complete embarrassment

What can I say ... I’m doing my best to channel my inner Hawthorn supporter who expects to sign Brad Hill, Coniglio, Patton, Whitfield, Martin while still drafting Noah Anderson.
