Annoying situation. Want the win like any other week but that pick difference is a Cunnington vs a Vickery.
or the difference between
Cerra and Naughton
Setterfield and Brodie
Parish and Weideman
DeGoey and Moore
Kolodjashnij and Cripps
Stringer and Vlastuin

We're not losing this game.

We couldn't out tank the godees with 16 men on the field who were playing in roller skates.

And so it comes to this, a dead rubber round 23 game against our bunnies at the winter fortress.

Let's set the tone for next year

Rip, and tear.

Much like the most excellent protagonist from the Doom video game series, we have developed a reputation for eviscerating demons. Let's begin a new, eternal streak against these demons, and bring some absolutely brutal form into next year.

Not sure about these calls that Dees will be going the tank this week. No matter what the result is they will finish 17th. They will be keen to finish the season on a positive, just like us.

Would really like Taz to play with Scooter in his last game, but no way should we risk him. Same goes with Jed.

In: McKay & Hosie
Out: Tarrant and Anderson

Give McKay and Hosie a taste before the year is out. Let Zurhaar, Garner and Hrovat fill Jed’s time in the midfield.

They’ll come out with the intention to win and give the club some sort of positive impetus heading into the preseason. We just have to remind them how truly crap they are in 2019 so they crack the sads.

Yeah, Tarrant's sore, it will more likely be McKay for him.

Although you'd think Robbie would want to get up for Scooters last game.

Also Brown potentially winning the Coleman down in Tassie in front of family will be something he remembers for the rest of his life.

You'd hope all of Tassie gets behind him down there and they get a decent crowd.
Browny representing his state in the sense of Tasmania providing the AFL with a Coleman Medalist. Would be nice if they came out in support regardless of the team they support.

Goodwin isnt going to just miraculously remember how to win. Their team is rooted, they don't play for each other. Sure, that doesn't mean its a given, but if this isnt a fixture that should be anticipated in a positive way, then a loss would be worse than two rounds ago no matter how many goals we kick.
Corey Wagner is a regular.

Hosies 189cm, slightly taller than JZ.
He does have good ground presence though
Maybe small forward is not the word, but sort of a player that is quick and can kick explosive goals.

Nowadays young players are getting taller and more athletic every year and being 6”2 feels like a small forward now, in reality though it is still quite tall.

Today's 6 2 is 5 11 in 1985 dollars.

Plenty of good players picked at 9
And who could possibly Outtank the D’s they are professionals

There will be no shenanigans or champagne comedy, just a well researched OP reflecting a brief snapshot of 2019, some kind words about Jordan Lewis’s last game and some chat about the football intricacies of what is looking to be the game of the season

Just a reminder that this weeks GD OP is all about me
Who is this aimed at? Are you predicting that some interloper to the game day thread creation caper will go early with a generic but lame attempt at humour, while missing the opportunity to sink the slipper into one of footballs all time arses (Lewis) by not calling out his coward punches and gutlless choking acts?

It would be nice to see Hosie but I think the forwards have functioned pretty well, he might have to wait.

I'd be very surprised if Crocker or McKay were picked, Crocker is tough but he's definitely not strong enough yet, and for my eyes McKay still looks a touch too slow on reacting to the play.
Not saying we should bring him in, but Crocker is more than strong enough. For Melbourne.
