Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
Gawn wasn't his current shape when drafted, but was a couple inches taller and had circa 7kgs on TDK at draft time. Grundy on the other hand was 3kgs heavier (they're practically the same height).Neither did Gawn at that age...
Life isn't easy on $200K, just ask Barnaby Joyce.
Sounds like Sauce saw some sense if he is going to GWS. Will have 2 years of unfiltered first ruck time, with the added bonus of a flag chance or two.
Never made any sense coming here if Flip was coming.
Means we'll likely be going in with Kreuz as #1 - hopefully off a full pre-season, Flip the backup and TDK taking on extra responsibility in 2020 for the NB. If he progresses well, I'd love to see him (and I reckon the coaches would be putting it to him to) overtake Phillips as #2 ruck across the season, pushing for some berths in the seniors.

My point is people should not be getting ahead of themselves thinking TDK going to be playing seniors all of a sudden or close to stepping up as a senior ruckman. As one of two others alluded to, rucks take quite some time to be ready to play against the big boys in senior football and even have impact. Maybe 2023 to 2025 is more a time line for him. I am conservative with my expectations on developing rucks.Gawn wasn't his current shape when drafted, but was a couple inches taller and had circa 7kgs on TDK at draft time. Grundy on the other hand was 3kgs heavier (they're practically the same height).
TDK bulking to Gawn size would be detrimental to his playing style IMO
How on earth did Voss manage to get 2 interviews? I'm still bewildered.
How long was Gawn on Dees list before he become a regular quality ruckman ?
Yeah we have the one-year deal on the table, but I cannot see how/why the Cats would be looking at him. They have 14 average-decent ruckmen and - much as I love Flip - he hasn't proven himself to be much better than Rhys Stanley. So I reckon he stays.Flip is still TBC isn’t he?
Out of interest, where did the Geelong/Flip apparent interest/noise come from?
If they are the ones holding out a juicier contract for him, and that they’re missing out on Goldy + Sauce, perhaps that is still an option to prise him down the highway...which means there’s still a lot to play out on our ruck front.
I think he gave Warnock an absolute touch-up in 2014, was the first time I thought the Dees have got one here.
But it probably took until 2015 for him to be regarded as A grade.
So maybe 5 years.
If we extrapolate- 2021/22 seems a reasonable expectation for TDK to blossom/ really show signs. footyfan78 ’s view 2023 is probably more likely.
Man we need a quality option in the meantime
Nope, locked and loaded!!!!HUN just reported that Eddie has stated that his preference is a return to the Blues rather than the Suns.
Probably something we probably already suspected, but it's now been reported.

ps don't shoot the messenger...
To me, TDK doesn't have the body of a Gawn, Goldy, Mumford, Kruze....he's a Grundy shape through and through for mine.
On that note, I'm not going to be shocked to see Grundy head to the Crows. Pies targetting Cameron, Jacobs to GWS....where there's smoke....
Wonder if it would mean Reilly OBrien was up for grabs?
Nope, locked and loaded!!!!
English was drafted in 2016 at 19yrs although he was physically underdeveloped at the time he had a year in age difference giving him a bit of a head start which at that young age which makes a big difference to a kid coming into the afl system, super talent coming along beautifully who imo will be an absolute gun.5 years is a long time. Have a look at Tim English who is in his 2nd year and holding down a number 1 ruck spot and he isn't exactly built like tarzan at the moment.
Sounds like the perfect list manager then. I don't want a list manager that is easy going and is too afraid to make the tough decisions.SOS is SOS. He's not the easiest going individual.
Some will say he's arrogant and dismissive of others, but that's just the way he is.
The whole Grundy to SA thing is ridiculous really. They won't be letting him go for anything, and the Crows have their own top-shelf young ruck now in O'Brien. Finally saw the first Grundy to Crows rumor this morning. So it may be happening and it does impact us as Crows will be looking for draft picks and also to clear cap space. Wonder who can be shaken loose that we want?

I suspect a slow rumour week means somethings brewing... I can feel it my fingers....I feel it in my toes...
Simmered.Mmmmm... Cooked sauce....
TDK Will be AFL ready around the age of 21 give or take a bit. 23 at the latest. In saying that he may well play a few games filling in here and there as a forward who rucks.
He's athletic with good football skills and abilities which puts him ahead. His body is not underdeveloped for his age.
That’s one caring and competent individual who listens to others to the extent necessary to evaluate relevant interests and still gets the job done. We’re lucky to have him.
