Looks like it was a choice of giving Miller another year over Menadue.

What has Miller shown so far??

Legitmate question, I am not having a crack, just have not seen any vision feedback.

The thing is if he has not shown much will he ever later and how much of a gamble does this become?

I would keep Townsend on as a rookie(if he was happy to do so) well before retaining Miller unless he gave something real. Even then I might rookie him such is the strength of our list. Still I am detached from whats happening at the club so I cannot make such decisions informatively

For a legit answer, he is almost prodigy level for how athletic he is at his size. He'd be one of the quickest players on your list despite being nearly 2m tall. Very agile too, and is a solid unit. Has a really penetrating kick to go with it.

Honestly think he has the toolset to be an elite intercept KPD, having the size to go 1 on 1 with most key forwards, while also having the athleticism to drift off his man and intercept when needed (think Darcy Moore)

Fair enough and RT said he was impacted by injury.

I think RFC might be over playing the draft at the moment. Sure bring elite talent in including left field options but we need support to help us contend for the next 5 years as a base!!.

When JR eventually retires we need to be contending after the announcement to.

I would assume the delistings are partly due to salary cap pressure. That is why Miller was retained as he was on minimum wages. Menadue was on more and that is what got him I think. Towner I love, but he isn't AFL standard these days. Moore was unlucky with the timing of his injury and we obviously also have targets in the draft and need to make room.

What's the go with Fletcher Roberts just out of favour ?.

To be honest, he's just too slow these days to keep up with the average key forward, since so many KPFs are so quick and athletic. He'll be an outstanding KPD at state level, but just don't think he's suited to the AFL anymore. He'll almost certainly be delisted soon

Moore will be a great pick up for a team that needs a 3rd or 2nd tall
suits that role perfectly unfortunately we have lynch and jack with dusty floating in

plus guys like Chol/nank/soldo who can play that role along with being able to take ruck duty’s

shame he isn’t a touch bigger or able to play in the ruck

Garthwaite, Mller, Balta are younger i guess

Now this is the concern for me

Miller has shown nothing to date. Garthwaite in his senior apperances looked so far out of his depth it wasnt funny.Personally i have serious doubts about him atm.
Im not sure anyone can say with any sort of confidence atm that either will be around in a yr or two.

Balta was playing back towards the end of the yr but if im honest and if everyone is honest we dont have a clue where he will play.
Personally i see him as Rance replacement and think he should be developed as a tall defender but i want him in the senior team.

I wish we had a higher pick than 19 20? in the nd i really like the look of fisher McAsey as a defender but he wont last to pick 15 imo. the other i really like the look of is Brodie Kemp and he will likely go top 5 -10 even with an Acl.

Changes are a bit cut throat, with all 3 players being handy VFL players in their own right, but that’s what you get when you are at the top of your game

Would expect us to draft a genuine KPF to backfill Moore now

pretty old for a guy that has not played a game at the level yet despite the opportunity.

If GWS does not pick up Townsend for better opportunity keeping Arts in comparison makes no sense whatsoever

You've been going about that for years and we won 2 flags since then so keep it going.Garthwaite the club rate and Miller is a project player second year.Rance to come in to and Balta were not sure about.I think one or two KP boys will be a great outcome draft.

With the recruitment of T-Launch, makes it near impossible for a third tall forward to play in the senior team.
Saw a little of Aarts play, was impressed by his ability to weave through forward traffic.
Would have delisted Markov pronto.
