Or are West Coast employers of double standards, the precedent has been set with Michael Gardiner, who was banished to the Tigers for failing to live up to the clubs expectations.

Is it not in the clubs interests in the long term, to maintain, any shred of integrity, to sentence this perrenial criminal to a stint in the WAFL, at the very least.

One has to feel for the Parents of this years draftees, they are sending there sons into an environment which breeds illegal activity and a notion that "eagles" are above the law.

If the club wants to regain its position as a credible organisation, surely Benny must be sacked, or at the very least banished until he can live up to club expectations :thumbsu:

Should Jeff Farmer be banished to the Fremantle jail?

Everyone needs to relax and realise Ben Cousins is a professional athlete and hence better than all of us (except me cause I'm also a professional athlete hence the spleling errors) and can get away with this as long as he performs on the field.

...and Pav for AA is a professional knob so we'll let him off for yet another moronic thread. :thumbsu:

Good point, also, wasn't Gardy in heaps of poop because he stuffed up by getting smashed before training, or missing training opr soemthing?

Cousins can hardly be told off for not training hard enough

Gardy stayed out late drinking the night before an intra club practice match. Got kicked out of the club for a couple of months.

I dunno about you but i think ben cousins is good enough to play AFL and not WAFL, so yeah

No.

Because it was a social occasion, on his own time before even pre-season training had started and mostly, nobody was hurt.

Chances are that if he wasn't a well known footballer he wouldn't have been taken to the lock-up.

Also Pav, as I have a cousin that is wanting to get into an AFL team, can you please let me know which team has an environment which breeds legal activity and a notion that they and all of their players are not above the law. Just so his parents can relax. ;)

Pot to Kettle, pot to kettle this is Pav.......

exactly. if it were in the pre season or even in the season proper by all means you could send him to the colts ;) . the media are digging themselves in a hole e.g Cousins Snr mentioned what he felt about the media today sarcastically and I wholeheartedly agree with him.

So Pav instead of worrying about your cross rivals whove had success since their inception unlike others why dont you worry about your players misdemeanours IN the season or pre-season. He was on Holiday and everyone can get locked up for having too much to drink.

I think he should be. It would give him a wake up call and let him know he needs to stop playing up all of the time. One or two games for the Sharks would do him alot of good IMO.

No, No, No

It should be an opportunity for Whooosher to stress the importance of off field behaviour to the rest of the team and Newbies and Youngies

. I think the whole team should be punished in some small way...:p (Maybe a few 10k runs over the Christmas Break:D ) That would be worse punishment for Ben. It will teach them to be a TEAM and inforce the POINT that your actions reflect on the CLUB as a Whole...

I think thats how they do it in the Army... ..Or was it in Prision:eek:

You may think its a bit of a laugh, but surely, you would have to acknowledge, out of all the AFL clubs, West Coast have the worst off-field culture? :thumbsu:

And just so you know, Woosha said, and I quote, " Michael has been asked to train with the Tigers, until he can accept the clubs expectations of the player group, both on the field and off"

Surely, if the club were consistent, strong, they would follow their own precedent and sanction Cousins, for his own good and to set the benchmark for those who look up to him? :thumbsu:
