Unfortunately, it's not that easy. Platform holders require a number of days (usually 10 business days) in advance prior to any store/date changes. Retail is going to be your best bet.

Just as a precedent on this if anyone is curious, Persona 5 Royal was brought forward with a bunch of other games last week by EB, however the digital version on PS Store only became available today.

So......who is going to be the person that tries to break the release date
Anybody remember the last thread when people were contemplating calling a bomb threat at Target to get the game two days early?

Don't think so, I rarely pay even $50 due a haha because I play so few there's always a healthy back catalogue to get through but I still think $100 is pretty
I don't understand how this game retails for $90.

Haven't bought a console game for a while but isn't the going rate about $70 for a AAA title?

Nah $90-100 is a pretty standard release price for most games, and especially anything AAA.

$99 is RRP. EB list at RRP but match other retailers who price lower. It's also why digital is more expensive because they are just flat RRP prices.

the funny thing is with CPI, inflation, all the rest of it, from memory new release games have retailed at EB for $99.95 for a good fifteen years, no change.

I took notice of this a while ago. They're probably one of the few things that have become cheaper as bigger retailers sacrifice their mark up in order to make it up in other areas of their operation. EB as a speciality store I guess don't have the same flexibility.

Watched those two running and loose ball videos on the AFL Evolution facebook page. The running one is just same as always. Stop sprinting and the guy will bounce. I guess a new thing is you can manually bounce too.

For the loose ball the ability to tap the ball in the direction of your choice is nice!

However this is what made me the most excited out of all:

There are to my count 16 Carlton players in the defensive ~ 40% of the ground. Is it just me or does this actually look like real football? That gives me hope! Maybe this won't be so bad after all!

It's also nice to see a spare zoning for carlton (1) in defence.

Indeed! I think what I'll do is try to play the game for a week before coming onto BigFooty. Obviously everyone will have their opinions here and I no doubt there will be a fair bit of negativity (some of which probably will be deserved) but it'll be nice to try and come up with my own opinion.

What I noticed during the second clip, is how an Adelaide player drops off from the contest and plays as the intercept defender. Potentially this means that there will be more tactics to play with :)

Nice find. This is the type of depth of gameplay I want. Even if the season/career mode is shallow, I want deep gameplay.

In AFL Live 1 I never even played season mode but played tons of online single games just because the gameplay was so fun.

Hey guys so I have been following this thread for a very long time was basically a lurker since AFL live in 2011....I just have a few questions I literally just pre order from EB with express post because I basically got excited hoping we will get it early but I always prefer digital I never ordered online you guys think if the digital edition is released on Friday i won’t have any issues getting a refund on the hard copy?.....and also just want to say the graphics never have been the issue with the game it’s just mainly the gameplay I think we all just want it to be as realistic as possible I been pretty pumped for this game for a while now at least from the last game they released I know not too have to high of expectations this time round
