Defensively we’ve just lacked pressure. We have days like that. Especially early in the season last year. Not an issue for me if we have a couple like that. If it becomes a running theme, yes, but not on a one off.
Offensively we lack cohesiveness. That’s our massive challenge this year - how do we get that same connection that we’ve harnessed to such effect recently, with restricted full group training. Just like last season with stopping teams from beating us with keepings off. It’s where our changes will come from this year. We were very clearly a different team at the end of 2019 than 2018. Not so much the case between 2018 and 2017, and within a year you’ll be lucky for the same old to still work.
Overall, not greatly concerned. We are a mature side, we have great coaches and a great list. We were in worse shape this time last year and look where we ended up.
