According to the player contract thread, he is contracted until the end of 22. And I think that the club did the deal last year.

Yeah not sure what's happening with lists yet, but we have JUH and Raak as our NGA picks, and Macpherson as a FS, so that's 3 blokes already tied to us (assuming we took all 3) so I doubt we have any true live picks this year.

At this stage, we have no incentive to trade off experienced guns for second rounders, I know at least that much hahah

You won’t have anything left after crows bid on Ugle Hagan with pick 1. 3000 points you’ll need. 20% discount gets you 2400 which is pick 3. You will most likely be left with 1600 for pick 10. Your next pick won’t cut it. So you’ll need to go into deficit just to get one of those players. If anyone else cops a bid you’re ****ed for 2021 draft too.

Stocker is going to be twice the player that Merrett is. This year hasn't been kind to his development with the COVID hubs and the lack of dedicated training facilities.

He had all of last summer to prepare himself for this pre-season and yet he was still a garbage runner rivalling the likes of O'Dwyer and that Bulldogs discard.

It's still very early and we hope the penny drops at some stage, and he becomes more receptive to feedback going his way.

If you are signing up to Carlton provided content, better get used to the idea it will include information about the women’s team, might even include our new stand alone reserves side next season.

If we can jag a big name mid like Merrett, I'd 100% be on board with Dow being part of the trade. Not because I don't rate the kid, but because he ain't breaking into the midfield any time soon and there's no way you have him spend 8 years of his career playing in the reserves.

How many of SPS, Kemp, Dow, LOB, Stocker, Philp do we really think are going to be satisfied playing VFL indefinitely? Someone's gonna jump ship for opportunity elsewhere, may as well be proactive about it.

Look at Collingwood. A list of midfielders. If a player is good enough he'll find his way into the 22 regardless of where he actually plays.

I think too many people get stuck with thinking "sticking by your own" is what "real" supporters do. If you don't back your guys in over the opposition every time then you aren't a real fan.
