Jmac, read the thread, it’s a joke. The OP is a fabrication.
Don’t have time to read all comments. Very clever post but not what I need to see right now.

Well done, got me too. It's exactly what we all expect from Emperor Edward at this point.

Eddie still believes we won the 2018 GF.
“If you count the legal scores we won easily. It was obvious that Dom Sheed scored an illegal goal, he’s been doing it for years. The only way WCE could win the game was by cheating but you won’t hear the fake news saying that. I have a plan a big beautiful plan, a plan that quite frankly is a plan so beautiful that people have come up to me, big people, big strong guys who never cry. They have come up to me and said thank you sir this plan is so beautiful I just wanted to thank you and they cry. My lawyers from the firm, Jackson, Capper and Kink will be filling papers tomorrow and they are the best papers, only the best papers that will prove that we won the 2018 GF.”

😂😂😂 (yes it’s 2:30 am and I’m still awake and annoyed but this thread was mildly amusing so I thought I’d join in)

I mean Trump losing is the only thing good about 2020. Imagine if he'd won?!!!

I didn't read the time and assumed this was something he said this morning. Amazingly accurate, well done! ... sadly 😪

Lol. If it wasn’t a fire sale, then why did we get rid of Treloar and Stephenson for hardly anything in return.
This has nothing to do with the media. Objectively, both were sh*t trades.

I know it wasn't a fire sale.

However; this was parked in Ned's spot at the Holden Centre yesterday.

The thing I don't get right and he's taking us all for idiots. Let's say he is telling the truth in that they are purely business but not monetary reasons for the trades.

Adam Treloar cost us two first round picks. We effectively gave him away for free because of the picks we gave up to get 14. How is that good business?

Tom Phillips we drafted at Pick 59 and whilst sure, he had his flaws. I would say we got way more out of him than you would expect at Pick 59. In what business world would you argue he has digressed six picks?

Jaidyn Stephenson was taken at Pick 6 three years ago. He won a Rising Star, was being paid 500k by the footy club. Clearly, he was a highly-rated player. To effectively give up a second rounder and a marginal increase (about Pick 22 value) is just ridiculous. Tell me Eddie, in what business sense does a Pick 6 who has exceeded all expectations in two out of the three years warrant a 16-pick drop.

Effectively we have lost two first round picks, and a 22-pick drop (both Phillips and Stephenson) in the past five years.

IN WHAT WORLD IS THIS A GOOD BUSINESS DECISION?

I get you don't want to concede your team buggered up the contracts. I get that you have to put a positive spin on everything. But guess what? This isn't the 1920s when the hypodermic needle was an effective marketing tool. Fans see right through it. The least you can do is give us the truth.

Tell us there were mistakes made with contracts. Tell us you thought we were within a win of a premiership. Back in 2018, you offered a little more to get us over the line and keep our great players. Then medium tier players like Phillips and Cox hit triggers you didn't expect. Say yeah we made mistakes. A head needs to roll for those mistakes. But just don't lie to us.

If you think that we don't see you are lying, then that is insulting. Honestly, it is hard to see what is worse, the fact that you're lying to the most important people to your organisation, or the fact that if it was true, that you genuinely think that these were good business decisions.

I just hope like hell that you're not planting the same spin in the minds of the other players, because honestly, if I was in that playing group, I'd be looking over my shoulder and talking to other clubs about my playing future because security is nothing now.

If there is an underlying issue that these players committed for this to all go down, then say so (even not in so many words), but the thing that hurts the most is not the fact that multiple clubs bent us over. It's the fact that our own club does not have the decency to tell us the truth. I mistake is bad, but then to lie and cover up the mistake is so much worse.

Yesterday I was angry. Today I'm just disappointed, really disappointed. I know I love this club and I'll still support it through thick and thin, but the last 24 hours have really challenged that resolve and for the first time in a while, I feel uncertain about the club's future success, and I really hope you decide to come clean because we, the members and supporters deserve it.

Have you read the thread? The OP is made up. It’s a joke. Edie has not spoken from his throne.

Yeah probably not the right thread and more directed at Ned Guy/Geoff Walsh if anything (as that was their comments from yesterday). Reckon this just triggered me from hearing them 😂

Gee there are some dumb campaigners on this board, I guess I'm guilty as well but there you go. Typical response from idiots that don't see the big picture, if Pies wanted to keep these players they wouldn't have be booted out, clear and simple, obviously there is more to it but glad Pies have shut media out, you can argue it wasn't handled properly but the only response we've had is from jilted players & the parasite media feasting on the carcass looking for a headline, if anyone heard Garrrrrrry Lyon this morning it was probably the most pure seeking me me me moment of all time, twisting words to suits the narrative, shocking, he should look in his own background for moral respect.

We've cleared salary cap, we have 2 first Rd picks, potential 3, we have some good F&S + NG players in the next 2 years. Think we will all survive.
