Well, Freud was a pioneer in exploring the concept, though his ideas were a little closer to home - very different to the modern interpretation which accounts for 78% of the world's internet traffic today.

Between REM sleep and Pavlov's dog, I can't see either topic covered in modern Year 12 Psych curriculum.
