I’m hoping your girls get to play Suns, Geelong and Richmond to get a win or two on the board (fwiw I would NEVER wish any good luck on your men’s team, but I’m sure no one is surprised by that. Just had to clarify in case anyone thinks I’ve gone soft). It will give them a boost in confidence, but I’m guessing with the way things are going, you might only get GCS. You should account for them imo.

Also - any news on your girls staying away from WA for an extended period of time? Maybe they’ll get to come home for a game against the Suns, then away for a while like Freo? I think the season is going to turn to poo again tbh.

Also this freo team reminds me of Richmond mens, they play full on against good teams and only have to do enough to beat average teams.

Richmond looked really good against Collingwood, if they'd kicked straight they could have won. If the Eagles look that good against a reasonable team this season, I'll be delighted.

Hoping that Janz being in the emergencies is a promising sign that she’s nearing a return to full fitness. Not a sign that Laurie is in doubt and we’re going to have to play her as lead ruck despite being underdone.

I had similar concerns myself Miguel Sanchez, when I read that Janz was an emergency.

Agree with all of this except Janz. If we are bringing her in we are gonna struggle imo.
