It's not tall poppy syndrome at work here, sorry to tell you. If Sydney had scored two more points in last years grand final to take the premiership, we would still be dismayed at the cultural meltdown at West Coast. It's only slightly more frustrating that a premiership team is such a bad lot off the field. West Coast are an embarrasment compared with recent premiership teams, such as Brisbane and Sydney.
I agree you'd still get stuck in if we narrowly lost. You'd have loved it. People have been inventing rubbish and sinking the boot in ever since "those arrogant Eagles supporter'" team started winning plenty of games in '05. The premiership has forced it into overdrive. A couple of players get pissed, and all of a sudden we're a team full of drug abusing criminals.
You don't realise how obvious it is from our perspective. Carry on though, I think it's hilarious.

Players from every club get caught out on the town occasionally... that's nothing new. It's not just the latest drug innuendo Milkman, it's the continual indiscretions commited by several of your players, most of which are far more serious than simply being drunk in public. Have you already forgotten about Kerr's assault of a taxi driver, or Cousins' drink driving, or Cousins' state outside Crown Casino in Melbourne?
