As always, I am expecting the worst, Melbourne at the top of their game and the Tiges a bit off, but hoping for the best, Tiges at the top...
Really have no idea who will win but think it might be a bloody good game.

Good luck today mate. Headless predicts we’ll be down an elite hair man at some point so really don’t see any path to victory for the Dees.

I don’t really want a heart stopper. I want to know what it feels like to be assured, confident and even arrogant. I want to throw around phrases like “percentage-booster” and make patronising but kindly comments to oppo supporters after the match about some of their kids looking promising.

That won’t happen so instead I’m going to go look at waterproof, puffy coats with duck down and stuff so me and my pie can at least stay warm
Can almost handle the 3 flags they got, as long as we get them in round 6.

Was watching some Jayden Hunt highlights on the tube last night, I genuinely forgot about so many, the barrell at 3/4time up in the Northern Territory . 🔥🔥🔥

I don't think I ever flushed a torp once as a young fella, that must have felt bloody nice off the boot

Back when i was a kid in under 13s we used to play with a ball called a Buffalo not a Sherrin. You could legit hit barrells so good with them. Way easier.

It was , but also could stuff up just as easily and go anywhere . No drop kicks on a wet day ,torp into the wind , Stab kick to a leading forward etc , no kicking across goal in the back line , no bouncing the ball on a wet day etc, pie and beer at least once a week at training . Most of all was stay on your side of the ground unless you played Ruck or rover . A lot of picking the ball up one handed and touching down while running etc . It was much simpler game to play .

My old man could kick a helluva drop kick, remember playing kick to kick with him on the road or down the park as a kid and he would kick them way further than a drop punt, such a lost art. Shame.

Cant really contribute here, having never held an aussie footy. But I was the punter on our high school team. Punting was certainly an afterthought back then. Don’t even know the names of the various techniques when you guys discuss punt, torp, drop, etc. No one did any teaching about it. They handed us a ball and whoever could punt it the furthest got the job. 🤷🏻‍♂️
