Basically Wallet has wasted two years already at the Tigers and has now admitted he needs to adopt Clarksons strategy of rebuilding.

Anyone with a brain can see that.

He is pooing his already tan stained pants, that the whole football world will acknowledge that his '5 year plan' was a joke and he has in fact WASTED 2 years at the Richmond Football Club.

At the time of the appointment of Clarkson and Wallet they clearly took two seperate paths.

Clarkson totally rebuilt with some fantastic recruitment and shrewd trading. We now have a core team of young talent in KPP, through the midfield and with Renouf, Birchall, Gilham and co our biggesst weakness (defence) is looking on the improve.

What an exciting time to be a Hawk!

Wallet however traded away his future to gain the services of Mark Graham, Kent Kinglsey, Graham PolHACK, Troy Simmons and also picked up only midfielders because they would give him short term success quicker. Hawthorn on the other hand drafted Franklin, Roughead, Dowler, Renouf, Bailey, Thorpe which we all knew would take longer.

We also drafted Muston who was seriously injured and was a big risk.

Ellis too hasn't even played a game yet. I lick my lips in waiting.

Now in hindsight Wallet has failed miserably and Richmond are widely tipped to not only finish bottom four, but any astute follower can see they have not moved forward. Remembering that not moving forward in this tough competition means you have moved backwards..........

Wallet has been a COMPLETE FAILURE.

As I said Wallet is now pooing his stan tained pants...

So what does he do?

He dumps the last two years strategy and employs Clarksons plan.

The Hawks with all our kids and planning for the future is looking bright and exciting moving forward into 2007.

The Tigers, well they are a joke, just like their coach.

Now before all you Tigers get on my back and start paying out on me, are you going to give me an apology?

You have all berated me for 6 months about how much better Wallets plan is than Clarksons, and who am I to criticise?

Now that even you can see, that Wallet is a fraud and has set your club back YET AGAIN, are you going to take it back?

Of course you won't but will you at least demand as members that Wallet return his pay for the past two years, BECAUSE HE HAS WASTED THIS TIME AT TIGERLAND AND IS A JOKE.

What's your point ? I mean, how could anyone spend 2 years at Richmond, without it being a total waste ? ;)

:D :D :D Clarkson could fix them.

He is so under-rated and as a rebuilding and development coach noone is better.

Now it is time to see whether or not he can evolve into a coach who can build and develop a mature team.

I have total faith because he hasn't set a foot wrong but only time will tell.

In breaking news:
Wallet to change his exit from the coaches box this season.
He'll be coming down the race at every game this year to slightly amended lyrics of a Dire Straits hit from the 80's repeated over and over

"Get your money for nothing and your cheques for free"

Ok, so what you're saying is we need to start tanking, badly.

We got Simmonds for Fiora, Graham was a pick 60 or 70, Kent was a pre-season pick and we got Polak who is 22 years old and kept our first round pick.

Admit it, Polak would be handy in the powder puff Hawthorn backline until and IF Dork Zackson, and his no-name backline mates get a few years experience under their skinny belts and are actually any good.

Maybe not having a backline is part of Clarkson's plan, more draft picks, just so he can keep flapping those lips about, boasting that they have the youngest list for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th year in a row.

What I like about Terry's plan is that he tries to win games. Hell, even Danny Frawley as bad a coach as he was, tried to win games.

Clarko is the media darling because they were blinded by the 4 wins the Hawks had in a row against bottom 8 teams, and 3 of the teams were in the bottom 4 tanking their hearts out for 1st pick in the superdraft, Clarko was out-tanked. Can the man do anything well?

Ironic considering your coach left his previous club because they couldnt pay him what he wanted... and has since taken your club to 2, TWO wooden spoons :thumbsu:

LMAO. I heard little AL on the radio this morning saying not to expect too much from the Hawks this year. He's waited all pre-season for someone to come out and say the same thing first.

Hey AL - stop using Wallace as covering fire you weak dog.

Ben Cousins has Ice and H2F has Wallace.

Neither of them can go a day without needing a hit. The good news is Cousins has a good chacne of completing rehab and once more being a prominent person in the community. Unfortunately H2F never has been prominent nor will he ever be.

I know you won't like to hear this, but Mark Thompson was far better at re-buliding a side then Clarkson, and he kept his side competitive.

With no pick higher then pick 7, he was able to take the youngest team in the AFL to a preliminary final in 2004, unfortunately after that he seemed to lose the faith of the player group, and his game plan seemed to be found out.

I think Clarkson has got the right players and people at his club, but I feel his tactics shouldn't be employed by any coach and he seems to be protecting his young players to much, but I guess only time will tell.

I am sure that the Hawks would not have recruited Polack, with his "unhealthy obsession", especially with the young players they have there.
That's one person that Clarkson would not have entertained, I am sure!!
Richmond supporters would be hoping for something from him, but what I have seen, don't expect too much!!:thumbsd:

He's been saying it for months.

So are any of you clowns going to actually absorb anything in this thread?

My so called 'unhealthy obsession' would be immediately gaaaaawn if any of you :D delusionists:D would wake up and admit he is a tool.

Why is it satisfactory for Clarkson to be continually critisiced and yet most can smell the plan coming to fruition, whilst criticising Wallet is called an obsession.

Especially when you all know I am right.:p

All Clarkson has done so far is shown a talent of reading out names in the draft. Anyone can do what Clarkson has done. Trade away any older player possible for early picks and effectively put out a sign on his office door saying "don't blame me for our poor performance, we're rebuilding".
As far as development of young player goes Franklin is looking like a very good player, but the rest are showing just as much as any other young players from any other club.
It is easy to do what Clarkson has done, but is he capable of coaching a developed team? As you mentioned we will see.

Note: this is the first time I critised Clarkson.

Just to clarify, Clarkson didn’t draft the kids nor did he off load Thompson, Hay, Rawlings etc. to other clubs – Chris Pelchen and Gary Buckenara are the only ones that can take credit for getting the Franklin’s, Birchall’s etc. to the club. To date Clarkson has done a creditable job developing the talent and getting the players united and on side, but his real test as a coach will come to a lesser extent this season and certainly in 2008 when expectations are raised at all levels.
