We all (well some if us) knew that Conor Nash had this in him. Cue the "but it's only VFL" brigade.

It might just pay to take a longer view towards Nash's development than a normal draftee or project player. What we are seeing from him is that he has now played a wider variety of roles than most players and typically has achieved a pass mark at VFL level. On top of this he has shown some patches - not a lot - at AFL level of being ok. Certainly well equipped physically he may be a player that as we rise back up the ladder with another 2 seasons under his belt starts to hit his straps as a Mr Fixit. Which would be very very handy. It's worth noting that Conor Nash missed the best part of a season
due to injury and then missed a full VFL season last year.
For a newbie to the game this would have robbed him of valuable
match experience. Added to the fact that he was elevated to the senior
side more in hope than form may be the reason he was underwhelming.
I still have hope that he can be a weapon.
