I thought the club might want to trial one or two players in the AFL before making a decision e.g. Tohill.

Tohill may well be in their future planning, as he seems a hard worker and determined to make it....he may be worth another year of looking into, and seeing if he develops into a regular AFL player...

Yes, good move by the club. Tomorrow could, and probably will get very ugly on the scoreboard, but at least youth is getting exposed to senior footy....

I don't know. I quite like it when we win and unless blokes are ready, I'm not convinced that AFL games help more than they harm. However, injuries probably give us no other choices than newbies, other than Sier.

Hopefully most of these kids are ready.

Sier is the interesting one.He has been among our bests for the last three games in the VFL and yet despite our midfield being weakened and losing badly most weeks,he still can’t get a game.I just wonder what has he done to offend the coaching staff so much?There must be more to this than meets the eye.

Good to see Sidebottom named at FP. Hope he plays the whole match there. His midfield form in recent times has not been worthy of him and is barely VFL standard. Up forward, he might just snag a couple of sausage rolls and rediscover some form.

Its plain and day, Sier is not part of that when you are overlooked by a 19 year old.

Team has 12 players <50 games and an average age of <25. Haven't checked but must be 1 of the least experienced teams we've fielded for a while.

It'll give them a taste to know what it takes to play this level. But I doubt we wanted to push them into the deep end this quickly, but like you said, we had no choice when injuries happen.

Last year this probably would have been a good thing. WHE and Mayne have been amongst our best 6-8 players over the last couple of months, and Thomas has been much better than last year. I think we’ll cop our first smacking this week.
