prefer to keep pick 5.
Thoughts on a sps +fisher for cerra trade? - would probably want something else coming our way so perhaps
sps+fisher+61+ future 3rd -> cerra +28
SPS + Fisher right now would net you a 3rd.

I’d be very happy to trade 2022 1st , SPS & Fisher for Cerra if it secured the trade. We have plenty of similar players, small & fragile types and if they’re both unhappy then it’s just a logical conclusion.
SPS will definitely go and don’t think Fisher is a happy camper either. Both similar physics, sml, light conditional types easily pushed off the ball. That is a ridiculous price to pay for an out of contract 21 year old with 70 odd games under his belt.
Smugness? Why? Because he articulates his point in a way that’s clearly above other journos?
I think if there’s one thing he isn’t, it’s smug. I think he calls most things fairly and without any bias. One of my faves.

There was a lot of people filthy about the Saad deal last year.Funny how people have changed their thoughts on the Saad deal after the fact
As for Cerra, we missed that boat, price would be considerably higher, but makes us better immediately, rather than waiting for a draftee to find consistency
It will come down to what we give up, but I can see us trading out a player for that deal to be done, or our first this year or next as a minimum
Didn't Ross concede 23 consecutive with Freo?

Thats all relative to output though.
It might take that draft pick 4 years to get to Cerras level then we have to pay them that anyway.
We need the output now.
If we have the cap space to do it then what's the issue.
I’m not sure about you but I have fatigue from drafting promising Vic Country/Vic Metro 17 year old midfielders who need 4-5years to develop AFL midfielder stamina and match conditioning. Don’t get me wrong I’m glad we put in the years from 2015-2019 but if there’s a ready made 22 year old proven talent and it costs us pick 6 (or Pick 5 if we get belted tonight) then I’m up for it.
Love the look of FC but Cerra for the now and next few years.Who would you prefer finn Callahan or Adam Cerra.
Lol. Sorry but this is..ill be nice..ridiculousI’d be very happy to trade 2022 1st , SPS & Fisher for Cerra if it secured the trade. We have plenty of similar players, small & fragile types and if they’re both unhappy then it’s just a logical conclusion.
I actually don’t think Cerra is an elite midfielder. He may become one. But right now he’s a B grade midfielder. I would argue that If Dow was playing for Freo he would look awfully similar. At his best still Dow is better than Cerra. 2022 will be dows breakout season. And if we have both him and Cerra things will look up very quickly.
Our problem it SPS is worth peanuts. It hurts us to see him added to a trade but if it was say pick ~40 instead (About SPS’ value) then we wouldn’t blink at it.That is a ridiculous price to pay for an out of contract 21 year old with 70 odd games under his belt.
SPS is out the door , and worth too much, Fisher’s tackling was horrible, outmuscled by Tanner Bruhn a 19yr youngster.Lol. Sorry but this is..ill be nice..ridiculous
Absolutely and I’d throw in a sweetener to close it quickly, we need a Ruckman next .cerra for 6 is fair.
At his best, Dow is better than Cerra? Based on what? Dow has played 17 games this year, averaging 14 possessions and just over 2 tackles.
Cerra has played 18 games, averaging 23 disposals and 2.5 tackles.
In 17 games of footy this year, Dow had more kicks than handballs, once, just once, Dow was just dropped from a side that is decimated with injuries, what metric is hIs best, better than Cerra?
