Another reason not to follow footy....

"Another rule will be introduced to the VFL and East Coast competition will see three players from each team stationed inside 50, including a pair in the goalsquare, at all kick-ins, boundary throw-ins and ball-ups."

It was a nice sport while it lasted lol...watch the screws slowly turn until it morphs into a 1.5hr TV product with fireworks and queen between each home goal.

Then I don’t think you know the good old days of Collingwood pubs as well as you think.

Those pubs have changed hands.

The administration has gotten mouldy.

Time has moved on, so much so that Richmond has now won 3 in 4 after 37 years of nothing.

You can continue to believe the propaganda or you can strive for a better future of the club - part of the problem, or part of the solution.

Everyone here loves the rich history of the club, but let’s not use it to make excuses.

Your post is a disgrace!!
How dare you judge what other people feel.
How dare you think you are the judge of who should be a supporter.
How dare you even think you are holier than thou.
How dare you tell Collingwood supporters to f.. off.
How dare you tell them they are not supporters.
WTF do you think you are calling people dogs?
You are the disgrace!!

Is that you Greta ?

I thought Bucks' comments over the past couple of days were outstanding. Finally some honesty & rational explanations. Finally....

This guy is all class, and his only major failings (in this situation) are staying 100% loyal to the club, which has let him & its supporters down during this whole fiasco.

Sometimes tough decisions need to be made, yes, and I personally think he has got his own approach to the situation (under extreme duress, lack of decent leadership above, and poor planning skills) almost spot on.

List management not his responsibility, but he is involved, and after the train wreck that was Ned's interview, he has stepped up, done the club a solid, and saved some face for the club in a messy situation.

Now if anyone wants to say he actually pushed for all of the fat salaries a while back - & then the Beams deal, then I'll take back some of the above. But I dont think he did
He's an excellent spokesman, but I'm not convinced about his ability in the role he's employed for - coach.

Collingwood has currently had one poor period (the 2020 off season) in the past few years, its no different to other successful clubs over this period of time.

Look at Richmond, over the past few years they have had:
- An AA, Premiership player, retire in an odd fashion, no-one really knows why
- A dual premiershp player and previous second placing in the club best and firest leave the club in free agency
- Controbersey around groping
- Controversey over two players, a strip club and a kebab shop
- A bulging salary cap that is forcing quality players to leave the club and rookies listed players that need to be delisted so that they dont command a senior list wage

All a very similar situation to Collingwood - bar two minutes. Two minutes being away from winning a flag and papering all over the cracks.

Sometimes Luck is a cruel mistress, just as St Kilda supporters who watched the 2010 grand final...

Yeah. It's a complicated enough game already. If they want to open it up, how about they keep it simple and trial 16 a side at lower levels - see what impact that has. It won't get it back to positional play, but it'll make it flow more quickly - which was the aim when they first started meddling.

Some people treat Collingwood like a charity. Collingwood Football Club aren’t a charity. It’s entertainment. If you’re not enjoying your entertainment, you’re more than entitled to put your money into other ventures. This doesn’t make you a bad person, nor a fair weather supporter. It just makes you human. Life is short, do what makes you happy.

What IF you not getting what you Pay For?

According to Kim, Adam has struggled with being away from His family. Surprise surprise that somebody with anxiety might struggle, but how dare we entertain that potential and a potential trade up north. Nothing against Ads he gave everything to us, and I hope he’s ok. But it was his decision to allow his wife to dictate terms, we were within our rights to trade him.

Every trade we made has been vindicated…I wonder whether all the peanut brain tomato throwers will apologise to the club at all. Ultimately it’s your doing that we are in the position we’re in.

Adam was a contracted player and the club required his consent for the trade to happen. The way the club went about getting his consent does not sit well with me; it wasn't classy.

It was not a proud moment for the club, nor should the club shy away from its mistakes.

Depends on what you believe about who said what, and in what context.

Treloar being traded was not his fault but the club, having determined what a hole it had dug for itself, chose the right players to move on.

The words spoken publicly by Buckley regarding Adam's relationship with his teammates were frankly unsavoury. Not Nathan's proudest moment either.
