Quite happy you enjoyed it. That album is a much easier listen than her past efforts. Hoping she breaks through at some point.

Sounds about right. I remember billying her the first time you nommed her because about 3 minutes was her screaming at the top of her lungs, a bit over-bearing for me. I liked that though so will check out the rest of the album.

do be prepared for the 'God' angle to be ramped up, but not in a hillsong way. Still a powerful album. Should be some stuff you enjoy in there.

I actually am a big wrap for that first Coldplay album so just figured this was the round to finally do it, the Grammy's was gonna be filled with Billy fodder.

Just to add to this, that's precisely why I thought it would be a safe round to nom Style given Swift's record in this contest. I'm not really a fan, but I do rate that song (and 1989 is a decent album on the whole). Turns out, I was only 1 billy away from getting it.

Generally speaking, 'pretentious' has to be one of the most overused, and oftentimes, wildly inaccurate words used in music criticism.

It particularly gets used a lot to describe more experimental music, but I really don't think the vast majority of musicians are trying to be pretentious, they're just playing shit they think sounds cool.
