Would any of the prospective admins be interested in competing against each other in a Fatal-4 Way Elimination Match in SFAEW in lieu of any official debates?
 
The Wonders will be voting. And the vote will be decided by the LG. Everyone at our club is entitled to their opinion and can bring that to any of our LG for discussion. Of course I have a say and will convey my opinion our LG but when I place our vote, it'll be who the LG believe is the best candidate. Not an individual.

To be serious for one sec, Jabba73 if you want in, don't sook about it - that just reinforces every reason you were excluded.

The way you knock the door down and get back in is to show they were misconceptions, and you do this with a properly thought out and explained rebuttal.

So here is a free kick. Your submission was big on rhetoric and vibe, but sparse on actual details. So...:

1) you want the quality of posting improved. What specific measures will you take to achieve this?

2) you want the tour to be more representative. Thats fine, but how do you manage the previous issues of the Blues, Cats, etc boards, where the moderation on those boards is extremely strict to non locals?

3) you want some rules removed, and some made more strict. Which ones?

4) you want players removed if they don't post 5 times a week. Isn't this an unhealthy approach to supporting players in an era of covid, where all clubs had multiple players taking breaks of various degrees? Also does this not impact upon those with work or personal issues which mean they cannot be on bigfooty for a period of time? How is booting people out encouraging them to engage more?

I am noones puppet thank you, FFS I won't even have a club rep in this vote.

Read his submission however and its all unachievable goals.

He wants the quality of posting and interactions improved. Is he going to ban/delete stuff not up to snuff? Mandatory lectures on posting quality of you get an infringement?

And even when he discusses specifics (rule changes) he doesn't even say which rules he wants changed.

If he's a serious candidate, he needs to have answers, not just Clive Palmer inspired nonsense

I had issues expanding more than one spoiler at a time, but it was fine if I closed the spoiler each time before moving across to the next one.
 
Holy sh*t that's a lot of voices. Is that really what you think will make decision making more efficient?
It was just a hypothetical. And the idea would be each subcommittee is made up of 4-5 members who specialise or show dedication/interest in that given field, a streamline and focused mini-committee.

Second question for Kennedy Parker: Throughout the Sweet FA's history conflict has created talking points. How will you make league operations more interesting?

Third one for kdavva: You mentioned the sub-committee idea the most. I've heard from a few players around various squads that last season's HoF induction was not near the standard of previous ones. What are your thoughts on how the HoF committee performed their task?

Fourth one for PMBangers: You're the least experienced in the league, and newly a club captain. How do you expect to balance that with the admin role should you be successful?

But

  • Every other applicant has had at least some behind the scenes exposure, Jabba has not.
  • Jabba did not answer my follow up questions
  • His application showed he does not yet understand how many things in the league work
Saying it is nothing personal then following it with the word “but” means it is personal.

If you mean the questions you sent yesterday during work hours, then no I haven’t answered them. Was not given a time frame and didn’t realise that you would announce my application as rejected less than 8 hours after the deadline for submissions. Guess it is my fault for not looking at them when I got home after 9.00pm from work and meetings. Would have thought 24 hours for an answer was not unreasonable.

Given you gaslighted me out of participation in preparing the game day threads in round 3, I should not be surprised at this effort from you. Assuming you will blame me for your decision again.

Jabba's application is more fleshed out than Baz's to start with, it should have been amongst the considerations.

In fairness, the lack of committee experience seemed to be a big selling point for many , but then again, in fairness to you, you did address that issue
Regardless, I'd like to think that if you did have that , or if someone like ABV (before he retired) put his hand up, it would have been seriously considered and that it wasn't just a Bombers thing :(
Did you consider running with someone else?

That goes for the other applicants too. The co-admin concept makes sense
