Meh. kind of thought there was more to the howard storyline. No unexpected twists. Then to just end it like that. Meh. I was really liking howard.

it was so obvious lalo was coming to saul and kim when mike stated that he had taken all his men off surveillance just the scene before.

kim and jimmy have become incredibly unlikeable.

and how did lalo know where the laundromatt was? The guy he interogated last episode had no idea. So how did he find out? Just another plot gap in a show that likes to show so much meaningless scenes while ignoring actual scenes that would be important To the plot.

You called Saul and Kim's framing of Howard "a silly uneventful sideplot" earlier, when it was clearly the key to the entire ending of the series. Now you say you "thought there was more to it"?

No unexpected twists? Yeah we all fully expected Lalo to shoot Howard in the head in Jimmy and Kim's living room. Totally picked that one.

Criticisms and discussion is good, but your observations are very repetitive and boring.

Either that or you're trolling.

unexpected? In every tv show/movie when a mafia/villian character comes in he always shoots the guy he doesnt know. Like almost always. It would of been nice if there was more to that scene before that happened given it was kind of a finale.

the only shock is we thought the howard storyline still had more to reveal cos it was all straight foward at that point, with the only exception being, why were kim and jimmy so terrible and fixated on him. Thought we were going to get some reveals in. There being genuine reasons for it all. But nope. They were just terrible people.

and why do you think it was an important plot point? This episode revealed it wasnt. Just a side story.

Must be sad that nothing will ever please you lol.

You're saying that Jimmy and Kim's framing of Howard is just a side story?

That's like saying Todd's influence in Breaking Bad is just a side story.

What caused lalo to go mental with the deck chair? Was it cos he realised his original call to Hector was tapped?
Yes. Basically he went to Germany for nothing, he lost the element of surprise. Mind you he should be pissed at his uncle for making it obvious to Gus that he was still alive. Interesting, once he talks to Saul he might finally start chasing Nacho, which may lead to papa Varga, and the promise Mike made to protect him.

Just rewatched it, far out every detail is perfect. Tried to look for an envelope switcheroo but nothing there.

The switcheroo might remain a mystery. Perhaps Howard's (aka Jimmy's) private investigator had access to Howard's office?

Interesting article speculating about the loose threads Gilligan & Gould will try to tie up in the last half of the season.

The final scene was massive! Howard was a pathetic character but he didn't deserve that. At least he got to lay it all out to Jimmy and Kim. Everything he said was true, and they will have to live with the consequences of their shitty, vindictive scheme. Or more likely, be in denial like Jimmy was with Chuck's death.

The Lalo sewer surveillance was expertly done.

The details of the duping and doping of Howard seemed a bit flimsy. After the fact we learned the PI was actually working for Jimmy, and we are supposed to believe that touching a photo can impart severe caffeine overdose symptoms.

So I get why Jimmy hated Howard but why did Kim? She said herself HHM did good things for her.

Why did Howard not try and run when the silencer was being put on? His head bouncing off the table reminded me of Ted in Breaking Bad dying
Silver Spooner while she came from the back blocks, put her in doc review in early seasons. Reasons are meant to be petty to show what a shitty human she'd become.

Kim is a campaigner. She gets off on scamming/ruining Howard, it was driven into her as a child through her mum who was also a campaigner.

Now that the shock has worn off after that final scene I really am trying to put together how they can get themselves out of this mess. I highly doubt they could make it plausible that Howard killed himself and Lalo is not going to give two shits about helping them out.

You know a show is good when it takes a while to process what just happened - but in a good way, not a 'wtf' way.

Terrific mid-season finale. If/when Lalo gets his ending it will be well deserved. Complete psychopath.
