Yup, to me it meant to talk to people, reach out to decent human beings that are struggling. At no stage did it say to enable and excuse the behaviour of people that physically abuse others. Each to their own i guess.

My wife is a psych working with ADHD patients and it does stop people from thinking through the results of their behaviours. It’s an impulse control inhibitor. People can perform really risky things without thinking it through. You might see a pretty girl and think I’d like walk up and smack her arse but your reasoning works so you don’t do it. It isn’t well developed in him so he does it before his reasoning kicks in.

And that’s before you add alcohol and drugs to the mix.
It’s an explosive cocktail.

Anyone would love to have the player he is, but I’m not sure firstly that he’s our premier need, and also whether I could trust him not to screw up again. He’d need a minder - which is not really an ideal solution.

Yeah, some women actually are a bit more sexually charged. The idea that all women are chaste virgins incapable of participating in mutual lasciviousness is very old fashioned. Some people must have met their virgin brides at the prayer meeting on here. I had girls grope me heaps when I used to party. They were usually worse than males.

I also did not see Heath Black abuse people. Once he shows his histort of abusing people is in the past he can get support from me. Not before.

Basically said piling on to someone suffering mental health issues could lead to nothing good and could lead to worst case scenarios.
I don't want DeGoey but I hope he gets the assistance he needs, and hope some people understand the continuing abuse of him is pretty low and says more about them than anything else.

Imo both he and the heavy abusers are in the wrong (his decision making and hanging around slippery slopes, not the interaction with the woman itself).

If we actually focus on the trade as is the thread topic, his latest misstep was incredibly stupid.
It may work for us if we do target him as we have one more reason to heavily load the contract with clauses. Essentially sitting him on a trap-door if he doesn’t pull his weight performance wise, or if he’s stupid enough to continue to repeat his mistakes.

If Black was abusing people and had a history of De Goey's behaviour, i would not have supported him either until he turned himself around. He became a good human being, that's great. De Goey does the same, zero sympathy. Let's not make abusers into victims.

I was diagnosed with ADHD back in 2020 as a 30 year old.

It certainly does impact your ability to control impulses. I'm not saying JDG shouldn't be held accountable for his behaviour, but if my worst moments were aired out in the media, I would be a social pariah, just like I'm sure a lot of posters on here regardless of whether they have a developmental neuropsychiatric condition or not.

One thing I will say, is that if he is going to succeed he will need tight parameters.

Given his history and condition, letting him go to a place like Bali was just asking for trouble.

As I said, it’s not the “incident”, it’s that he’s stupid enough to travel to Bali in round 14, be at a party, be filmed, be filmed in a way that’s clearly a red flag for woke and alarmist media to run a mile with, return late and miss a training etc.
