Would I be right in saying that desperation takes away his ability to find the space (or someone who is in it) like Neale and elites mids are able to, even in congestion? Sam Mitchell always looked like he had oodles of time despite not being very quick, even when he was at the Eagles and I think that must have been because he always knew where the space was going to be.Got to admit I wasn't a fan of Mathos return but I've got egg on my face. Having said that he still has the problem of desperation. Yes, it's great when you don't have the ball but it's a curse when you have the pill. That transition is where Matho is still a problem. He plays with good desperation when he doesn't have it and plays with the same desperation when he has it. Hence the throw it onto the boot as soon as possible once you get it.

A pet peeve sure, but oh well. A nicely executed handball is so great.
