Has to be something else to it, behind the scenes...

Just doesn't make sense, he plays with the hardness and the competitiveness that Voss would love...

Why couldn't we just trade him, he would still have had currency... Could have got us a player of need...
There's also a few I'd let go of before Stocker...

Or its just a simple delisting? The coaches have had a year to assess the list now.

Yep.. maybe they just didn't think he was up to it.
Hope he gets another chance somewhere..

Our center bounce setup has Durdin or Motlop sitting deepest and behind McKay, Silvagni or Curnow (all named in order of preference) and that is an extremely effective i50 setup. Where we lose shape is when we enter on a quick turnover.

I think a very good wingman will allow the smalls to have more confidence i50 to maintain our preferred structure.

A wingman who is starting to kick goals and as hard as . Voss won’t trade cotts . He’s learning.

The only way we can get to the promised land is making harsh decisions which on face value might be WTF but we need to be brutal.

I love it.

Yeah this is the way I see it. At the end of the day, we have NFI, on the outside looking in, where a player sit in the pecking order or what they’re being asked to do and failing in.

Trust at the club’s judgement. I trust Austin. At the end of the day, like you said, these ruthless decisions are actually a positive sign that the list in in healthier order.

He have too many backmen on the list and multiple are similar types too. He doesn’t have a tank and had shotty skills. I reckon the club has ultimately determined he’ll never become a great backman and didn’t have the tank to make it as a mid. If that’s the case, better to take a chance on another player.

I hope Stocker gets picked up and plays out a long career for someone else as he’s a genuinely great guy.

When you give Zac Williams a 6 year contact on good money, wouldn’t say that is a good list management decisions.

If after an entire year being injured you give a 32 year old another contract instead of a 22 year old, I wouldn’t say that is good list management decision.

Delisting all our developing talls in one year and not replacing them, I wouldn’t say that is a good list management decision.

With delisting Stocker why was the decision made so early, instead of waiting to see if another club would trade for him?

Ok so one of my workers went to the North BnF last week and there was talk from a couple of players about Liam coming across to them also mentioned he spoke to Tarryn Thomas and said won’t be going anywhere apparently Gold Coast are ‘circling’.Not sure don’t care really.

Yeh so who knows.Unfortunate for Liam hope he does get another chance.

Good luck to him if he’s got another shot. If he can get a solid preseason under his belt and work under Clarko he will be alright.

Ok then we need to delist Fogarty dow Plowman Pittonet Cottrell obrien Owies Cunningham
E Curnow Philp kemp Setterfield plus more because none of them would get in a premiership side

Take Pittonet, Cottrell & Kemp out of that list and I'll agree (and maybe even O'Brien - He's nowhere near my whip at the moment - has made a lot of progress this year - still a few howlers, but has really lifted his game).

Off-field concerns regarding attitude and professionalism. Really disappointing either way.

Little to no doubt to me that Stocker is a warning shot to McGovern, Martin and maybe even Williams.

Get fair dinkum or * off.
You think that delisting Stocker, will shake up some of the highest paid, "comfortable" players we have.

That we dont even force to earn a spot via VFL, after there many injuries, unprofessionality or patchy performances.

Dreaming.

All for ruthlessness with the list. Lets see if this carrys over to trade week, where there is opportunity to shake up the core group, who are just a nice bunch of lads.

Frustration from most here is, if there was opportunity to trade and gain something back, you trade

I'd delist Fogarty, Dow, Cuningham and Owies without even blinking.

Plowman, Curnow, Setterfield and Philp keep as depth.

Pitt, LOB and Kemp have value moving forwards for the time being.

I reckon returning home to Victoria was always on the cards for Taranto in particular.

Much more palatable now with GWS a bottom 4 side and seemingly completely bereft of an identity and a culture.

Hopper and Taranto in particular would be very well looked after financially wherever they decide to play in 2023 and beyond.

TT has only ever spoken about loving living up in Sydney since being drafted.
