Im pretty sure I saw the theatrical release before in 2006. Hardwick was all shaven, sitting on a golden throne. Reiwoldt, Lynch, Dusty and Cotchin had to bend down in the right order to make some stairs for Hardwick. Hardwick had come to negotiate peace. We just had to let them win this one at the Gabba and they would then return back to the MCG. We just needed to give a tribute of a couple of goal posts. Fagan refused and Daniher then kicked the football and a bunch of Richmond defenders into a pit. Oh and there was this hunchback guy Cumberland who was one of the Lions but he betrayed Fagan and ended up joining Hardwick. Good film that one but the CGI doesn't look so flash nowadays

Big props to Luke Hodge for identifying our wingers for that last bounce when they were standing off-camera (although I had to guess which wings they were on). If he could do that for every game of ours, that would be appreciated.

I was thinking myself if Lynch kicks that it's game over . And 80% of the time any player would kick that . He was 7 yards out. Not the acutest of angles .Just pop it thru with your left. For him it should've been a soda.

And the narrative re the Lions would've been what we've heard over the last couple of years. We can't win big games.

Instead we now think we 're all of a sudden a contender.

Funny game football. Your whole view of yourself rests on one unlikely mistake.
I love that you said ‘yards’

Had a quick look at the Richmond "umpire error that costs us our season" thread

I was not aware that Trump supporters followed the AFL

Someone said this earlier in the week and I wholeheartedly agree - Richmond supporters are the closest thing we have to MAGA supporters

After watching Riewoldt on AFL 360 last night and they showed the replay again of the goal review something suddenly stuck out at me. Not sure whether been mentioned and i must admit i had the volume down but noticed when Lynch played on Andrews moved off the mark before the umpire had waved his arms for play on. Not sure whether umpire had called play on before but geez i must admit it looks like it should have been a 50metre penalty. Maybe another thing the Richmond people can be complaining about.:D

Far out Richmond supporters are posting their manifestos in that decision thread on their board and asking for the names of the people who were in the ARC. They’ll have to put them into witness protection.

I’m in tears reading that thread. It’s so good.

It's honestly the craziest reaction to a line ball decision I've ever seen. Some are saying that the AFL releasing additional footage will help put this to bed - I put it to those people that nothing is changing the majority of these peoples minds. Only the fair and balanced would be convinced at that point and we can all see how few of those supporters follow the Tigs!

Strong QAnon vibes

Either that or overly pampered pre-teens

Plenty have been don't worry. Lynch was clearly off his mark when he took off but it doesn't look like the umpire had signalled anything when he took off. Tough to ping someone for 50 because you're slow to make a call though!
Ump would have called “play on“ which what Andrews would have heard, probably a second or two before raising arms, not quite simultaneously

It seems to me that your only genuine recourse is to hunt down these umpires and arc officials and show them yellow and black justice

I gave up after reading 5 pages with just the same angle of footage. Ignoring depth of field as a concept completely.

Oh well I can't blame them all too much, I'm not too sure our meltdowns wouldn't be all that better.

That fact people are still focussed on their reaction after nearly a week suggests this is accurate.

The AFL won't cave to the demands of irate fans. And neither should they.

What the AFL and journalists need to do is start talking about the fact that even if the review was wrong THEY WERE STILL AHEAD. All they needed to do was have their KP FORWARD out of the defending goal square and their very good defenders do their job.

It's Jacky-boys fault they lost. Which makes me smile and laugh out loud. And makes the sky bluer, and the sunshine brighter.

Fact of life is that we caught a break.Once the goal umpire called it a goal we were up against it.There is no way that the ARC footage indisputably shows it to be a behind.
If they had followed their standard procedures the decision would not have been overturned.

But the ARC decision was indisputably correct.
Yeah its as simple as an x and y marked out through the two or more camers showing the line of the ball.
And it shows the ball was on top of the post.
I'd imagine you only need one camera on the line of the goals ( X axis) and one directly in front (Y axis).
Simples.
Unless the cameras were not in sinc. mha ha ,mha ha..
Edit, just explained what I meant with the x and y being x axis , y axis , Being in brackets, just in case any Tiges were lerking :D .
