Geelong smacked us.

No hard edge and got an absolute bath.

Fox, Warner, Clarke only ones to show up. Rest didn't.

Got outworked and out coached. Nees a long hard look at intent of list and coaching.

Three GFs lost with Horse at the helm and usually get slaughtered when in finals. Time to have a long hard look at coaches box
Questions need to be asked, the year has been quality but today was a coaching masterclass by Chris Scott which hurts to write but is true

What I don't get was where was our pressure? Sure our offense can suck but we can keep tackling. Apart from Parker our individuals had a low tackle count. I could give them a pass if the pressure game we've had the whole year was there.
I noticed this aswell, we really didn't turn up today at all. I feel this is a common theme for the gtand final for us, really needs to be addressed how we enter a grand final.

A grand final is a game of football like any other week what do you want. Psych appointments for everyone?

Vic teams rule the roost it's hard to break through

Mills "We feel pretty embarrassed. It's shattering to be honest. We feel like we have let our club and supporters down."

Swans supporters, well done on your season, no other club has been able to show such class and humility whether player, official or supporter.

I'm routinely impressed by the Swans ability to peak when it matters, especially after having slow starts early rounds.

I was at the game today and met one of your mods yesterday post AFLW NM v WB game, he was a nice bloke.

Anyway, it's been a huge day for me as a neutral supporter and I genuinely think you lot can salute very soon.

Still no idea how we pulled 2012 off, I reckon 30 things needed to go right for us that game and it did. We slotted about 3 pretty tough goals from 50 that day, and the Hawks were inaccurate.

Today, 50 things went wrong for us.
2012 we had experience in spades mate and champion players. We are a young team who exceeded everyone’s expectations this season. Sure it hurts like hell now but I’m sure can look back on this season and be very proud.

Feel we can be angry about the performance but extremely proud of the season.

Nothing drove me but more than the endless bombing into 50 straight to 4 Cats blokes…wake up boys thts what Geelong want- we should have used our kicking

Not your day, but Dane Rampe, what a guy.

******* club killer. This group will be scarred for years
Apologies for intruding. You guys will be back. Great season from the Swans, I believe they just met a team on the day who were hell bent on burying their finals demons.

You guys will be back on top next year.

I think we were bombing it because the Cats were outworking us and not allowing us time and space to execute our disposals. I doubt that would've been the actual plan as it's pretty clear that Geelong have some elite intercept marks and good run out of defence.

It wasn’t the beginning of the end.

It was the end.

The beginning of the end can be found at the selection table.
Campbell had the same amount of possessions in the second half as Reid did in the first. So maybe not that. McD would have had less given the service.
I think we really needed Reid marking the ball to be in with a chance, so perhaps the injury was the beginning.
Or perhaps it was us making it seem like final year Crows Dangerfield out there.

Just not good enough, or ran out of legs on the season by halftime last week. Second to every ball. Bounced off every tackle, couldn't take routine marks...

We'll be back. And with something to prove.

tbh while the first quarter was shit, it wasn’t super surprising, and when we steadied the ship in the second I expected the rest of the game to go that way, held off at arm’s length, and lose by about about 30-40.

That 3rd quarter though, boy oh boy, wowee.

As disappointing as Franklin was, it’s not like the ball was kicked near him all game. A player like Heeney though - ouch
