Because Ross knew exactly how we would play & parked the bus. They used our slowness to ensure they were perfectly set up & waited (to be fair they set up bloody quickly anyway, we just made sure they didn’t have to rush about it). We then stuffed around with the ball just racking up stats.

Bolton may have been our best coach since Parkin but was white anted by a weak minded senior player group who didn't like being told how they played football fast and furious with no accountability was no way to win big games --a below average coaching panel once Craig left - no resources in footy department space or proper head of football and a list manager that went rogue trying to moneyball deals leaving him with tripe to coach ..

I have been upset since leaving the crap show at Marve yesterday. Here is a rant:
I was a member even before permanently moving here in 95.
Been to over 90% of all home games since then no matter how horrible we were.
But I am finally running out of patience. If we need to sack the coach to stop this rubbish, do it now. If we need to sack most of the football department - do it. Sack Russell now.
I am sick of waiting. We are not suddenly going to improve by a massive amount. Have a look at the stats since middle of last season.
We are not going to get a much better list then we have now. They are not getting any younger.
Put people in place who can get the best out of this group - now.
2 players we deemed not good enough at the end of last season are now playing every game for teams above us on the ladder.
I had enough and I lost my patience.

And even when we did get forward with targets in place WE WAITED 4-5 seconds for them to get back and outnumber us. Or actually to to them. I nearly had a stroke when Harry had the ball at times - it was SO bad I couldnt believe my eyes. I'm still angry as I write this.

Didnt see the game so only going off media reviews and whats on here. So the midfield improved but the skills and rigid gameplan, which Voss has shown he simply cant adapt during a game are the undoing of us.

I don't know what to make of it anymore. Missing top 8 is a failure for me, we are in our window if Voss cant do it with this list then we need to get someone who can, I'm wary of hiring an firing coaches on a whim but this form has now been with us for nearly a year. I'm sick of the stagnant gameplay, I mean the players and talent is there. Two colemans and Brownlow, Walsh, Weitering and a group of hard midfielders that are getting the ball but have no idea on what to do with it and how to enter our forward 50.

For WCE they must bring in Dow, Binns and maybe Carroll, drop Ed C and Hewitt (he is seriously out of form) and for gods sake rotate Kennedy between on ball and forward, he has proven in the past he can take a strong grab and kick goals.

I hold a glimmer of hope but starting to seriously wonder if this season is a write off and Ill reconsider my membership both my son and I if we dont drastically improve.

IMO What I found most disappointing was our inability to create space when a game is being played tight. I thought Bolts, Teague did not know how to adjust to this type of game and I hope to see Voss respond.

There was no decoy runs, no movement, no opportunity for our smalls, no taking the game on and hardly a kick across the face of goal going into forward 50. Switching the side of play in defence has become so predictable that by the time we execute; the opposition has already set up camp on the other side.

i think he has wisened up a bit since leaving afl so i dont think there is much risk he will corrupt our well mannered boys

Well, I sat less than 10 metres from him at the game L2 and he had more than a few beers, he was there with one of his daughters and Heath Scotland. Didnt misbehave at all but he's no teetotal. Just saying. He was a great kick of the footy though, more than a few people yelled in his direction, "we need ya out there big fev".
