So happy (and relieved) Gus is in.

A bit surprised at J Mac's omission - but its probably fair enough. He's on a VERY long term deal though, so we'd want to hope he comes good.

Gould ... where to from here?

He will probably be sub again. Either him or Warner.
I'm not sure because they actually named him as one of the dropped ones even though he was sub last week. Methinks he needs a full game anyways so I reckon either Warner or J Mac will be Sub.

So Barrett was on the money

Rampe not expected to be back before the bye.

“Dane’s neck injury has not resolved. He has been reviewed by specialists who have advised that whilst the timeline for recovery remains uncertain, he is not expected to be available before the bye.”

We’re cooked

Not at all reinvent the defence and look for 2024 onwards.

Rampe is close to the end regardless
Paddy will unlikely play again.
Gould looks like is done (why did we persist for 4yrs?)
Melican looks done as well

They always do that on team selection when the sub goes out, even if they are an emergency.

I’d prob run with Corey as sub regardless

McInerney has suffered here from his own hand and its well warranted but before Cunningham ????

Just don't know what they are watching half the time.
Interesting to note Cunningham has been named at HB this week. I suspect the forward half experiment is over.

He's probably kept his place solely because he slots into the back 6.

I'm OK with Cunningham staying in. Could be needed if a match-up with Toby Greene isn't working (not that I have great faith in Cunningham to help there either, but he's a better option than McInerney or Warner Jr. would be.)
