its sad that it only took less than a year for us to be a total basket case of a club again

guys like jack and trent are going to retire starting off with a basket case club and finishing with a basket case club

Kind of reminds me of when Han and Luke are being taken out to the sarlacc and Luke tells Han that he was “Born here”, and Han replies, “You’re going to die here - convenient”

Our midfield got smashed, our defence made comical errors, yet our forward line is still the worst part.

Why did we lose 3 quick players from last week and bring in 4 slow players? Now I get none of those players (Mansell, MRJ, Hugo) are playing well, but we were winning flags with a horribly out of form Rioli and George in the forward line. You can't win in modern footy without speed ahead of the ball.

Have we ever looked good when we go that tall? I mean we all knew Witts would dominate the ruck anyway, which meant we had to get smashed in clearances, so you need to setup for a transition game.

The worry is Gold Coast couldnt have played any worse in the first half, they won't finish in the top 12, yet they have still turned us over comfortably.

We gave sheds his 300 so it’s a no brainer
Without trying to sound too melodramatic, when i think of Cotch I think of that line by Russell Crowe in Gladiator. "What we do in life echoes in Eternity". Cotch plays 300 and we all simply have to be there to honour a Richmond immortal.

Crowd was 23,664 today. Gee, I know Dimma and our supporters hate going to that s....hole but man thats a downright pathetic attendance. Time to suck it up and harden the f..... up Tiger fans !!

Seems people that didn't attend made the right decision. I'd be pointing the finger at the 23,664 of us that did attend, because that was a tough watch. We would have lost by 100 points to a better side.

He has been ok in a few games this season. Today he was awful, but yes it doesn't matter now, we aren't playing finals anyway. Surely we can manage it so he plays 300 on a big night or something.

Even though we have injuries I’m not sure how much better we would be anyway with them in, it just seems like the wheels have well & truely fallen off.

A few saying Ralphsmith back in , if he is ever to play again he needs to be on a wing. Looks like that is the position that would suit him best so needs to be given a chance there , no more of this half back nonsense

If we weren't carrying Cotchin to 300 games he'd be an easy omission for Dow.

But since we are carrying Cotch, I'd probably drop Clarke for Dow.

Also drop Miller and give Bauer a debut.

But Dow is a mid, Cotch is playing forward, can't really move any of our other mids forward either. Miller needs to go for a small, Broad should have come in for Young, we looked well balanced last week, this week couldn't have looked worse.

Why is marvel a tiger bone yard, i think i have only seen 1 win there

We haven't won at the G either this year. Also whenever we play at Marvel we seem to select the slowest team possible. Last years game against Freo with Soldo and Nank in the forward line lol.

Well I’ve just come home from the most boring, uninspiring, pathetic, unskilled match I’ve ever seen. And I’m a 29 year club member. Blame the stadium as much as you like but if your team is playing well there can be atmosphere. We’re just an ordinary side at the moment.
sadly the kids are not showing much to give us hope for the future.
Reckon we need a major change at the end of the year. Pres gone, CEO likely going and after 14 years, the coach’s time is also up. But hope he goes on his terms - he deserves that.

We couldnt capitalise inside 50. Contested ball inside 50 = 9-29. shellacking.

Gave them easy goals, we hard to work so hard for ours. Frustrating.

Tried to get something going by moving players around.

We couldnt score. Common theme we must get better at. We have to be better full stop (sound familiar?)

Marvel - no effect. (but pointed out dimma has said before he doesnt like it. brushed it off). Its not a ground problem, its all about us. (mental)

12 point swings.

Confidence is low demoralising

Long way off our best, how to figure it out? Stick together.

Dimma is flat.

Weve been in this situation like this before. But things can change quickly. Belief that we can do it?
Have to get cleaner and execute better
age isnt an issue

not a richmond style of game. As a coaching group we have to get better
We can compete in every game. were not in games enough.
We are never out of games. Every side that plays us knows theyre in for a fight. We might get the choccies in 6-8 weeks time.

Soldo turning it over instead of kicking for goal. He wanted to give an easier shot to another player (really??? didnt it go to the pocket??)

Connection? How do? Shuffle the magnetS? We have good talent, good enough. We can be better.

No one back next week. Gibbo and Graham weeks away.

Learnings - dusty dribble kick didnt make the distance? what did you think? Dimma didnt answer it, talked about umpires not influencing the game.

Richmond beating richmond

Another positive from today. Dimma cracked a smile in the presser. At least he hasn't lost his sense of humour. Some perspective. If you loose that, then well you know the rest. Chill out fellas, it's only a game

Officialdom saw the list and thought with all these stars we gotta have a shot, 1 more shot, at the flag. Top up with two clearance players to help.

Unfortunately the cliff has come fast.
Yet Hawkins and Dangerfield look in their prime
Yes the cliff has arrived.

I guess the question may be asked about trading away the future for Taranto and Hopper. I'd ask, how sh!t would we be right now if we hadn't?
Shit, but we'd reap the rewards of an elite midfielder for 15 years. Now we are just shit with no reward.
