A road and yet they 5 down.

it’s entirely possible that Warner might actually be able to bat on a pitch in England.

Now now let’s not get hasty

The Poms are nothing if not entertaining! Amazing how they've transformed themselves but I reckon that declaration is an error - they could've whacked on an extra 50-100 runs by batting into tomorrow.

Keeping with the aggressive mindset to ensure a result.

but I agree, could have almost guaranteed only two possible results, win or draw if Root puts on another 50 or so.

Wicket is flat as a tack. Basically a T20 pitch. Ridiculous. Joe Root will make a double century here if Crawley is making batting look p*** easy.
I thought last night this is a 3rd day wicket presented for Test match cricket. The poms are copying the Indians.

In all honesty, this is why test cricket is losing its credibility. Trying to manufacture an outcome via wicket conditions.
Who do the poms think they are... Geelong.

They've served up the exact type of road we have delivered, particularly in Melbourne and Sydney, for a good decade.

Yeh that's the thing about how England seem to play now, stuff draws, they are playing to either win or lose, I love it. By declaring insanely early makes getting a result on this flat pitch more likely.

Yep, that's the sort of declaration you see late on day two when you've put 550 on the board. Credit to the poms for making a game of it, Can't see the possibility of a draw unless Australia declare with 20 overs to go on day three with 550 on the board. Even if that eventuates the poms will likely try to do what they did on day one, put on 400 in a day then try to bowl the Aussies out for -250.

Makes for a very watchable game. Well done poms!

The number one and two rated batsmen in the world, combined for a total of 16 runs. Now we’ve got the number three ranked batsmen, coming in. Good times.

At least he plays Baz ball cricket.

Smith looked pretty lazy out there today, not surprised he got caught on the crease. the footwork of Warner, Khawaja, and Smith has been nowhere near the level of the Poms batters yesterday.

Fancy Davey Warner having the balls to announce when he'd like to retire! He was lucky to be allowed back into the team firstly, then he's hardly made a score in 2 years! He's very lucky Puco is perpetually concussed. He shouldn't be near this team. Problem is we have no decent openers in this country.
