Very very unlikely. Even 40 pt margins in both wouldn’t be enough. 5% is a bigger difference than it sounds. They would both need to be veritable thrashings and it’s just not going to happen.

It will be St Kilda. Maybe Carlton, though I hope not.

I’d argue our midfield functioned more effectively with Gus - clearances in particular.

Our turnaround in form came when Gus shifted into the guts, with Errol wide.

And Paddy was a major loss, ditto Reid, which we haven’t been able to fully cover.

But we’re not far off full strength.

His contested possession rate the last few games was close to 15% above his season average. So he gets a pass from me for being scrappier than usual but it's also the reason I don't really like him on the inside.
