Happy 150th Tom Hickey
"It's much nicer being liked by fans and at Sydney it feels like they've wrapped their arms around me."
...
"Instead, I've been able to live in four states, play in four amazing clubs and meet so many amazing people. Sometimes the timing's just right, I think I've still got some footy left in me and I can still contribute but I don't want to be running around and be a nuisance as well at the same time."
...
“I've got nothing to hold in the tank," he says.
"It doesn't feel like it's done. Hopefully we've still got five weeks left.

  • have some fun
  • run free, back up your mates, forwards spread, mids and defender bullet passes into leading forwards
  • accurate goal kicking
  • keep up the motivation and that winning feeling
  • no injuries
  • no MRO
  • no contentious goal decisions

We have no need to be watching AFL live ladder

So, have I got this right - we play St Kilda first week of the finals regardless, and if we win or draw today we get a home final, but if we lose, it'll be away?

Any permutations hinging on Carlton Vs Giants? My tiny mind can't think straight this morning.

We are only approx 5% behind Carlton’s percentage.

A win for us and the Giants, I am guessing at around 40pts each would push us in to 5th and an elim final v Giants

1/4 time - Bloods up by 23 after a fast start. (Inc miracle left foot goal from McDonald)

1/2 time - Bloods extend lead to 31 (great quarter by Hickey)

3/4 time - Bloods lead by 39 (great quarter by Tom Mac)

Full Time - Bit of a fade out but Bloods win by 20 (McLean swung back takes 4 intercept marks)

An all time Legend of the game in Franklin is celebrated and the retirements of three memorable Swans (RJ, Paddy and Reid) are appropriately marked.

Lets

”Lift that noble banner high
Shake down the thunder from the sky”

If we lose and giants win we finish 8th and play Carlton away

It's official everybody. We won't win if there is no "We'll piss it in."

I got a nagging feeling we lose and hear how the crows missed finals blah blah blah

Plus playing hurt players

A sell-out! Well done Swans crew!!

And for those not here its just about the most perfect Spring day in Sydney you're going to get. Sun is shining, will be about 25c. Fracking perfect for a day at the footy!
