It’s become abundantly clear that Simpson won’t give up his $1m a year salary and that’s far enough, I know I wouldn’t. But the club need to go to the AFL and negotiate a payout that doesn’t smash our soft cap. Why are we being penalised for being financially stable when beggar clubs can just sack coaches on a whim and pay only 6 months’ salary?

It's how I feel, and true. I have seen the 08-10 years, I remember knowing we sucked.

But tuning in week after week causes me nothing but anger and frustration. We are a meme club. Every week losing by 10 goals is maddening and due to where I'm living right now I'm getting up in the middle of the night to watch us, which given our timeslots often results in an a ruined Sunday morning/early arvo.

You have just been slow to realise what’s been going on … last year halfway through the second pre season game I realised we were garbage and checked out caring about the season…

This year the first pre season game the season was dead to me. Now it’s just watch on and be amazed at the sheer stupidity and deniability of the coach and some on here who week after week talk up below average afl players as some sort of champs when they wouldn’t even get on the list of the other teams yet somehow have survived 4 plus years on our list or we have given some (jones) a lifeline when they are clearly not up to it.

The change will happen mid season if the trajectory gets worse.

Been a rough start as to who we have played, but Round 5 will be the big test. A winnable game. Lose badly in that and the noise will be very loud.

The forward line function and our inability to take opportunities was arguably the major issue.
