I thought Geelong were on decline. Missed one finals series and now back up top, oh to follow a well run strong club.

As for West Coast, they now have more wins than us, let that sink in. We might actually go 1-10 after all

Funny how things change, Geelong supporters probably wanted to support the Crows in the 90s after all their failed attempts and we jag 2 6 years in. Since then, it’s not even close.

Their rebuild has Reid, Ginbey, Hewitt and maybe Chesser as their midfield battery. That is going to be a very very good on ball division to built their next premiership side around

We have completely wasted missing finals 6 times in a row.

Grant Thomas grossly underachieved with that list. At least Lyon was able to get them into two GFs (minus Gehrig who had retired and Ball in '10) and could've won both with some luck (Hawkins goal that hit the post and the bounce) but, yeah, one of the more talented teams to not win one.

West Coast's list was never as bad as their results suggested

Yes they have some older players. But many of them are proven good players, like McGovern and Kelly. Couple of star young mids. Allen up forward when he's not injured. Barrass is a superb defender.

And in their rebuild, they have used their first round draft picks on Reid, Ginbey, Hewitt and Chesser. All midfielders.
