Hitting the 260 pressure gauge (GWS) early for this match will be important. Fairly rattle players like Naicos and Maynard, close check Naicos, tackle him fairly and hard. For Maynard get into his head and he'll go wild and lose concentration and give away some dumb frees.

When Cox is rucking be smart, he'll do dumb things and when he goes forward he's not strong footed and a contested beast (just tall) so keep him off balance as much as possible.

Pendles and Sidebottom are playing more on experience these days, minimise their opportunities, let them tire for not much value. Pendles is being benched and managed more these days and Bottom looked cooked on Anzac day.

Now if our twin towers can't dominated their defence this week it'll be a travesty. Howe is a shell of his self, he's self proclaimed to take weeks to get back into the groove from injury our luck this might be the week but he looks about done (can't leap as usual, injured still???). Moore has started to hit his straps the last couple after a bad first month so we need his opponent to dominate (McKay??) and keep him honest.

It'll be the Hills and Jamie F###in Elliots of this world that may be our biggest downfall.

Fantasia has the ability and brings what we need BUT look at what he has produced this year and he doesn't deserve a spot. If he's picked it's more on hope than anything else
Yep we can't keep hoping for a breakout game in the seniors from him to validate. Time to VFL him for a few weeks to get some strong form.

Definitely prefer to see Fantasia over Owies - we need zip and class. Fantasia still offers that, even if not finding a lot of the pill. Any opponent is going to be far more concerned (distracted) by Fantasia than Owies so it will make them more accountable as well.

Gotta laugh at the narrative being sprouted by some Pies fans … they cop a couple of injuries and suddenly it’s “backs against the wall” .. the media will no doubt run with the same narrative.

Some of their fans are reasonable and acknowledge that we currently have and have had quite a few more injured from our best line-up.

Yahoo Sports yesterday ...

'Collingwood's injury crisis worsens' :laughv1:

The small forwards cupboard is full, but is hardly producing what we'd like to see.

Stats do not always tell the full story. Fanta has been a little underwhelming, yet I feel he is on the cusp of some decent form. Would stick with him for now, rather than play Owies. Matt has always shown an ability to find space and be in dangerous positions, but not so much this season.

Close to what exactly? Another loss in the prelim?....

lmao 2023 Premiers. and we would've done alright since we beat em by 20 in round 3.
