There might have been a bit of that, but realistically, in scenarios where a player is said to want out, it's not always that easy to extract full value.
Don't think it was a Dees-specific thing, just the way it works.

We will probably never know the full story, but I suspect an agreement has been made between him and the club around whatever issues he has and this would only have happened in the past 24 hours. There's no other reason it would have taken so long.
