Purge the army to make Hinkley/Stalin feel safe.
stinkers thereHe wasn't 'made a fall guy'. He ****ed up, badly. This sacking is a year too late.Changes coming thick and fast now.
Thanks for your service Mark. Made a fall-guy in 2023. Took one for the club.
You’ve got the inside knowledge that he wasn’t over-ruled? Wouldn’t put anything past Hinkley and Davies when it comes to influencing player management decisions. He wasn't 'made a fall guy'. He ****ed up, badly. This sacking is a year too late.
My sentiments are exactly the same. He was made the fall guy. Medical circles are very small in Adelaide. You’ve got the inside knowledge that he wasn’t over-ruled? Wouldn’t put anything past Hinkley and Davies when it comes to influencing player management decisions.
They sure are. I’ve observed with interest but not surprise the vitriol he copped, including from posters on this board. Very quick to slander reputations without verifying facts or understanding context. Medicos generally have become an easy target for criticism. Certainly not beyond making mistakes, or copping reproach or criticism, but there are often two or more versions of the same story. My sentiments are exactly the same. He was made the fall guy. Usual Port Tax shit that our club enablesI've dealt with him on a personal level and I really liked him. I think he was unfairly made the scapegoat. And a lot of things that he has come under huge scrutiny for had happened at other clubs and it's been "nothing to see here". Remember when Jeremy Cameron was concussed and didn't go off because the game was close? The hypocrisy has been astonishing.
I couldn't agree more. Mark is a very competent and experienced MO who never deserved the crap that was thrown his way last year. They sure are. Let's say Hinkley wasn't responsible for that particular call that night. The idea that Kerny is overruling the chief medical officer and sending aliir back out and playing injured players is wild.
Either he's spineless to let this happen, or it was his call and he stuffed up repeatedly, and hasn't been taking appropriate precautions re brain injury.
He covered for ken, that was bad enoughI couldn't agree more. Mark is a very competent and experienced MO who never deserved the crap that was thrown his way last year.
Remember that 100k fine we copped, yet just this season Harry McKay stayed on instead of following concussion protocols and Carlton’s excuse was “erm well our doctors were busy”. As if Aliir hadn’t, you know, been injured in a collision with ANOTHER PORT PLAYER who was being tended to by the doctors. I hate this league.I've dealt with him on a personal level and I really liked him. I think he was unfairly made the scapegoat. Ken does it all at the club.
