I have no problem them trading picks, getting fair value.

But these leaks in the media are absolutely disgusting.

Pick 25 in the deepest draft in years for a Dogs 2’s player that is on the nose of every analyst in the competition? When there’s a metric ton of great KPP and small forward on that range this year?

A F1 AND CHANGE for pick 13 so we can go after a 28 year old half back flanker. That doesn’t want to join the club? Something that reeks of total desperation it’s embarrassing?

If we go through with these deals, we can all remember the time this rebuild completely failed.

You dont **** around with draft capital like this, especially when the payoff is these sorts of players.

No deal done, sounds like Dan Rockets is off to Carlton or Collingwood. I don't have a viewed but am happy to just let Rawlings keeps steering us into the correct path.

the response was in the reply. We grabbed 3 good FA’s but had a shit coach. They tried for Dusty (almost had him) and then a few others but We had a shit coach. Clarkson did alright with FA’s in his past.

He had a HoF 1000 goal freak, another KPF that kicked 60+ goals multiple times and a midfield full of champions all built out of the draft before that point. He had also won a premiership before the likes of Burgoyne, Lake, Hale et al all joined.

Pretty sure comparing any FA situation is pointless and stupid.

This is such a dumb thing to say. You have no idea of the ins and outs of what we proposed. GC wanted too much and we left the room. We are testing the waters with different scenarios. Honestly some of the posting, particularly today has been pathetic, even for this board.

You continually throw jabs at Rawlings. As if he is seriously the one making all the decisions. Clarko had his finger prints on everything at Hawthorn and would be even more involved with us, along with Viney.

What I am saying is he (Clarko) has had success with FA. He doesn’t win those flags without Lake, Burgoyne and Hale.

Then he went and got a few more that didn’t work out to reach the pinnacle.

NORTH Melbourne's pick No. 25 could pave the way for Caleb Daniel to land at Arden Street by the end of the Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period.


The Kangaroos offered the second-round pick to the Western Bulldogs in exchange for Daniel and pick No. 48 late last week, but that offer was rejected by Sam Power

Daniel hasn't requested a move to North Melbourne and isn’t expected to formally submit a request, but is interested in a fresh start at the Kangaroos.

The 28-year-old has two years to run on the four-year contract extension he signed in 2022, but was squeezed out of Luke Beveridge's side at times in 2024.

Daniel played eight games for Footscray across two four-game stints in the VFL, while also starting as sub seven times at AFL level, as well as being subbed out of one game.

Bailey Smith and Jack Macrae have both officially requested trades out of the Whitten Oval and the Bulldogs are reluctant to let all three depart in the same window, but will consider a compelling offer for the South Australian. Pick No.25 alone would be considered compelling.

Sydney has been eyeing pick No.25 for Luke Parker after the former Swans skipper requested a move to North Melbourne. The Kangaroos have tabled pick No.62.

North Melbourne has maintained strong interest in Daniel and could eventually be prepared to part with pick No.25 for the 2020 All-Australian.


The Kangaroos landed Jack Darling from West Coast on the opening day of the Trade Period, sending pick No.67 to the Eagles for the veteran.

North Melbourne has used six top-five picks in the past four AFL Drafts – Colby McKercher, Zane Duursma, Harry Sheezel, George Wardlaw, Jason Horne-Francis and Will Phillips – as well as six other picks inside 30 during that period. – Josh Gabelich

Bad deal for Port. No two ways about it. And this is precisely why it is yet to go through. Their supporters are probably storming Alberton as we speak.
