Club has no extra $$ for cat b rookies.I’m working on now trying to show Brady what a cat b rookie is
It ain’t easy
He still thinks rookies are all the same
Doesn’t realise you can take 3 extras on the cat b list
Maybe we are bringing forward some future picks and we have confirmed with the clubs we are trading with which prompted us to make a decision on Pink.So Pink has been delisted with a club commitment to be re-signed as a rookie.
Meaning we have 4 senior spots free now - and only one pick in the top 60.
Why would you do that if you weren't planning on splitting pick 2?

We can only trade forward either our first, or our second and third, unless we seek permission from AFL House, IRC.Maybe we are bringing forward some future picks and we have confirmed with the clubs we are trading with which prompted us to make a decision on Pink.
Unless you slide p2 down gain another future first. In which case you can do whatever you want.We can only trade forward either our first, or our second and third, unless we seek permission from AFL House, IRC.

If Richmond agreed to give us their 10 or 11 for your future first as part of a three way, then it'd be fine imo.Unless you slide p2 down gain another future first. In which case you can do whatever you want.
Say 7 and a future first for 2![]()
I would be ok with thisI’m thinking it’s pick 2 for 6,11 and 24.
Doesnt seem like Richmond is moving any of those picks for futures. If Richmond agreed to give us their 10 or 11 for your future first as part of a three way, then it'd be fine imo.
Stranger things have happened but if this is the deal where we don't get Armstrong or Tauru than it makes no sense.Doesnt seem like Richmond is moving any of those picks for futures.
The rumour that has 5 boards talking this morning is that port would end up with 10 and it involves the giants (15/16/21?) working with Richmond.
That wouldn’t involve 6. Because it wouldn’t require a trade for 10 as the tigers have a plethora of picks.
haha. I bet you would. 0 chance.I would be ok with this
Interesting that you and other posters have conflated the C4 trade (which only details that Port and GWS are involved, nothing about what picks exactly are being used) with the Herald Sun report that Richmond are hesitant to trade 6 into a guarantee that we won't get pick 6 in this potential trade.Doesnt seem like Richmond is moving any of those picks for futures.

What's the latest, 2 for 23 and future 4th?haha. I bet you would. 0 chance.
He said in another post that port would end up with p10 if it happened. We've been pretty consistent that we don't want to drop down far in this draft if we trade out 2, so I wouldn't be too sure that the rumoured deal doesn't involve 6.
If it doesn't, the Saints deal for 7 + F1 is a suitable alternative. Even better, we are now in a position with 2x teams trying to get pick 2, so we can wait and see who wants it more.
Ok, so if Port are going for pick 10, the question then wouldnt be "why would the Tigers part with pick 6?" it would be "why would North be interested in sliding all the way down to 11?"He said in another post that port would end up with p10 if it happened. Check their board.
Now when you have GWS Richmond and port getting pick 10.
Why would the tigers part with 6?
If they just gave you 6 and 18/20 it’s probably a done deal as it is.

We obviously don’t know the specifics but it would look like the tigers are trying to move 10 and extras and offer something like 13+15 and maybe some change.Ok, so if Port are going for pick 10, the question then wouldnt be "why would the Tigers part with pick 6?" it would be "why would North be interested in sliding all the way down to 11?"
There's been this weird mentality that North should accept unders for pick 2 because it's such an even draft, but now 2 teams have made offers for it. It's obviously in demand, regardless of what oppo fans think.
I keep reading comments like this, and they read like attempts to justify or cope with the corner we have painted overselves into.

That obviously sorts out your pick needs for this draft and you retain your first. But you miss out on the top 10.
The counter offer seems to be my clubs which it was confirmed is 7+f1.
You get the rumoured player you want and then have to do the leg work for more picks armed with all your 2025 picks plus our first.
7 obviously meets the small slide down criteria Rawlings set. But you need to work on what else you get.
