A chant?Ask any hardcore Victory fan, and they will name that as one of their favourite memories already.
A chant?
Try winning the championship.
I said one of, but even still, ask any fan that was there that day, and they will nominate that game as a major highlight. The joy of winning the minor flag, the four goals in 10 minutes, the emotion of playing at OP one last time, the passion from ALL fans...it was really something!
Because it was the first time that the entire crowd was part of it. Not just the North and South ends.
Great. One day tell your grandchildren Grandpa Simpson style how you were there when for the first time in Victory game 4 sides of the ground called out the compas direction they were in.
We're North End, we're North End, we're North End over here.
We're South End, we're South End, we're South End over here.
sometimes the directions are wrong though, i swear last Saturday North stand were chanting South, South end were chanting North
Its because they are full of rocket scientists and brain surgeons. (PC28 and Sainter not included)
At the United Vicory game on friday I noticed the Victory suppoters jumping and chanting, but they were all facing the other way. What is the deal with that?
I then saw the United supporters do it, but it seemed they were doing to just take the piss.
Simon Hill mentioned that during the category, I wanted to know what that was about actually.
If PC is reading this he might be able to tell us.
This happened at the grand final aswell. Also everyone was doing mexican waves, it was awesomeThat one started last season in the opening rounds. Quite a popular one. Both ends love it, and the people in between seem to as well.
The biggest highlight though, was when we played our final game at OP last year against NZK. It was the game where we stitched up the minor flag. What started as a North-South turned into a full ground, with the East and West getting involved as well. It lasted a good 5-10 minutes, the whole ground chanting while the players were creating history on the field.
Ask any hardcore Victory fan, and they will name that as one of their favourite memories already.
