Where at each end of the ground they chant this weird song to each other? Anyone know what it is?

That one started last season in the opening rounds. Quite a popular one. Both ends love it, and the people in between seem to as well.

The biggest highlight though, was when we played our final game at OP last year against NZK. It was the game where we stitched up the minor flag. What started as a North-South turned into a full ground, with the East and West getting involved as well. It lasted a good 5-10 minutes, the whole ground chanting while the players were creating history on the field.

Ask any hardcore Victory fan, and they will name that as one of their favourite memories already.

A chant?
Try winning the championship.

I said one of, but even still, ask any fan that was there that day, and they will nominate that game as a major highlight. The joy of winning the minor flag, the four goals in 10 minutes, the emotion of playing at OP one last time, the passion from ALL fans...it was really something!

I was there that day, remember the chant. It also happened again later at telstra Dome.
How can a chant be favourite moment especially one that isn't even witty?

Because it was the first time that the entire crowd was part of it. Not just the North and South ends.

Great. One day tell your grandchildren Grandpa Simpson style how you were there when for the first time in Victory game 4 sides of the ground called out the compas direction they were in.

I agree mate, i don't rate the chant, there is nothing good about it. Don't get me wrong, i love the atmosphere but the chants aren't all that chop. 10/10 for enthusiasm though. I'd just love a song to sing along to, a new song. Just need someone to write it

When we played at Olympic Park, it was the correct direction. Northern Terrace actually stood north of the pitch, and the South Boys stood south of the pitch.

After moving to Telstra Dome, the Northern Terrace stood south of the pitch, and the South Boys stood north of the pitch. But they still kept the same chant, because that's what they are known as (i.e. "Northern Terrace" and "Southern Death Crew").

At the United Vicory game on friday I noticed the Victory suppoters jumping and chanting, but they were all facing the other way. What is the deal with that?

I then saw the United supporters do it, but it seemed they were doing to just take the piss.

Its because they are full of rocket scientists and brain surgeons. (PC28 and Sainter not included)

Haha

I must confess that I'm not one of them. I sit on the bottom level to soak in the atmosphere that they create but I'm a little around from where the main group are.

In fact I think they moved up to the top level last week for some reason.

I don't know, I'm there to watch the game. Not into supporter group politics.

Simon Hill mentioned that during the commentary, I wanted to know what that was about actually.

If PC is reading this he might be able to tell us.

The Answer

I think it's a bit lame to be honest - pay all that money not to watch!

Thanks. Never heard of that before.

I'd rather watch the game too, unless I supported Perth.
