We see less than 5% of the communications between player and coach, I think there would be a lot more noise coming from the club if the younger guys were all unhappy.

Besides saying "theyre not quite ready", what did Nicks say about Curtin and Dowling that was so nasty ??

They scrubbed an entire press conference because of him saying he didn't want to pick Dowling because he went through pre-season not having any plans to debut him in 2024.

Thats a truly bizarre take, no coach should ever publicly state that a player won’t get a game for the year and it’s announced in the preseason. If it wasn’t a big deal why did the club take it down?

And not only that, it showed how shit Nick’s judgement is that Dowling put pressure on early in the season, gets selected and looked more than capable.

How can’t you? Ever heard another coach strike a line through a player in the preseason and announce it? Why would you rule out any player let alone announce it to the world.

It’s seriously depressing to get a back catalogue of all the dumb shit Nicks said or did with young players last year, while some older players were struggling.

Offseason should be a time of Hope and enthusiasm- we have 3 new quality players - surely he is going to do better this year.

Well at least odds on he will be gone if he doesn’t.

Being told them privately doesn’t make them right comments to make. Going public is just dumb.

It was Nanks 6th game for the year, load management pigs arse. Nank wasn’t managed again. Nicks was desperate to get Smith back in.

Easy comment to say when you dismiss valid points with a “I don’t care”.

Thats ridiculous, you’ve lost it.

Coach makes a comment that a player isn’t getting a game ALL year. The press conference is pulled shortly after and is the only press conference that’s pulled.
